I'd be curious how our run game performed on scripted drives. It also felt like we could not adjust when teams figured us out in the run game. To be fair, some of that was because we needed the pass game to back them off and, well......
-
It's good to be confident in yourself but I don't really understand why he's burning bridges. I get wanting to be a feature back and maybe he was making business decisions in the second half of the season though, because he fell off a cliff. It is concerning that we have players talking crap about our coaches though.

Rico Dowdle sounds like he’s gone

I think a big chunk of it is having a bottom 5 OC. I do also think we should be drafting Hunt's replacement. He is essentially a vastly overpaid one trick pony as an OG. Lewis is actually a top shelf run AND pass blocker. We can get cheaper and better at RG. -

What did I miss? Why is BC done here? No snark, just busy with life and must have missed something. -
I think it's a schematic issue, teams figured out what we were doing. They need to get back to mor power runs instead of zone.

I've never seen a player fall from grace like he's done with this fanbase. He definitely seemed like he lost something the last few weeks.

Your Feelings on Bryce Through 3 Seasons? (POLL)
DeAngelo Beason replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm going to say what probably shouldn't need to be said but I guess I have to break it down anyway. They were the 15th ranked scoring defense. This matters because Evero's style is bend but don't break, which we did a lot of. The Panthers ranked around 20th in the league in time of possession. The longer the defense is on the field, the more yardage and points they're going to give up. We were toward the bottom of the league at like EVERY offensive category. In essence, we hung the defense out to dry. So I say, once again, Bryce Young is a plague that has infected the entire team. He's horrible, and he's dragging everyone down with him. -

I think the most concerning thing about our offense is how with two starting caliber RB's and one of the leagues highest paid OL's that we kept getting shut down so often this season. So, what was all that investment for if it isn't anywhere close to a dominating rushing offense? -

Something will have to be done at LT, as Barnwell pointed out and was very clear in that game, Nijman is a reserve. He will be a disaster for a full season schedule. It sucks so much worse to lose Ikey with BC likely being done here, too. BC was our realistic, on roster stop gap option. -

KillaCamNewton replied to MichaelNewtonII's topic in Carolina Panthers
he had a 4 game Linsanity run against some pretty terrible run defenses and thought that made him Derrick Henry -
We will see how Stroud fares next weekend. He was lucky he didn't throw away the game for them as terrible as he was.
-
I mean, he has not looked remotely the same after his stretch of games where he went off. Even when he was given a lot of carries after Chuba came back. Just from the eye test he looked much slower and wasn't breaking any tackles

Carolina Panthers pick No. 19-2026 NFL Draft
WUnderhill replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
Notable players picked 19-25ish the past few years: Emeka Egbuka Jaxson Dart James Pearce Jared Verse Troy Fautanu Brian Thomas Jr. Graham Barton JSN Trent McDuffie There will be a pro bowl caliber player right there in that range, we just have to make the right choice and probably need to be willing as fans to accept if the team just drafts the right guy regardless of position. If we focus too much on need then there are plenty of whiffs in that range, too. -

Carolina Panthers pick No. 19-2026 NFL Draft
Samppson replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
What about Kayden McDonald? I don't watch a ton of college football, so genuinely asking, I just have heard his named mentioned in some stuff as a possible pick. Not an edge player though, but maybe it frees up DB more -
Would you draft a pass rusher or draft one?
Mistuh Jones replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well this draft HAS to be defensive this year. It just has to. But like the Bastard of the North said, 2 drafts away from being in great shape -
I don’t know, I think Stroud and TMac would work great together. CJ has definitely regressed though. I still don’t understand why the shipped off his OL. He like most QBs operates best with a pocket.

2026 Panthers Free Agents… who you keeping and who can walk
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Multiple key guys we need to retain. We are now officially at the beginning of the crossroads though. Unlike the Texans who already have a stout defense built up we need to invest a great deal of resources into our defense. Can't pay everybody retain and improve our OL and potentially extend our young quarterback to a $100+ million contract as well. Tough decisions are going to need to be made. And the days of wanting only the best around him are about to be in the rearview. - Today

Would you draft a pass rusher or draft one?
imminent rogaine replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m of the opinion that Bryce needs an elite defense behind him. Idk what the FA OT market looks like but that will have an influence on how we approach defense. Prior to Ickey’s injury, I’d argue our entire offseason focus should have been defense. Sign FA Matt Milano for instant legitimacy at ILB. I, honestly, seriously, would try to trade all of the first round picks for Myles Garrett and Vita Vea. With DB, it’s the best d-line in football and now defenses can’t even entertain the idea of blocking our OLBs. -

Coker made up for the XL miss, but it hurts to have to draft an OT again. -
Thats just the reality of every team. We are not in a unique or challenging position in that regard
