If the Panthers draft Sellers, it will be a disaster. He is a freak athlete, but he can’t read simple college defenses, much less NFL defenses. It will take a year or two for him to develop into an NFL QB. I’m afraid if he’s drafted by the Panthers he’ll be thrown in the fire on day one.
-
lol, it’s impossible to talk Carolina Panthers and it not simply all boil down and return to the singular biggest problem present day. Bryce. (Tepper technically is but that can’t be changed) It’s no different when it became clear the primary problem was simply Matt Rhule. People would do what you just did. Boy, you sure do hate Matt Rhule! We simply have reached a point where the biggest problem is so simplistic and obvious…not much matters until you deal with that. It’s not hate. It’s just standing against the insane gaslighting going on. Bryce was a top 10 QB Sunday! 10 drops! The actual problem was Hunter Renfrow! lol.

ESPN's Benjamin Solak on Bryce Young

“Panthers do not have a great running game” am I crazy for thinking he’s wrong? Chubba and the OL were fantastic last year in the run game. - Today

Nothing indicates DC has HC talent. He has zero positive input on the D. It's year 2 and he chose to lean on a guy in year three that had a year 2 thst would keep many coaches from being a coordinator again. For an offensive guy he did squat at QB and now will have to ride his sad choices outside of the #1. Even his OC skills are basic which Im not sure he can hand off to someone else either because with his skills he is just a guy with a headset on the sidelines at that point. He is like a head cheerleader more than anything without his playcalling duties.

Who are the top QB prospects for the 2015 draft?
Panthero replied to Panthero's topic in 2015 NFL Draft
None of them seem to be a sure fire number one at this time. That worries me to no end. Landing on qb or really any position is so hit/miss. Problem is unlike most positions you cant really fix this problem with free agency. The other issue is you cant afford to wait because without a qb, a season is pointless. -
Yeah it's just more of the same BS. It's always everybody else first. I can think of 2 XL drops and 1 Chubba drop...at least what I would consider catchable.
-
He's a limp wristed, happy clappy, always trying to blow sunshine up your skirt kind of guy. Needs to grow a pair.

Relax. We are off to a slow start.

One door closes another one will open bro! Keep your head up it will all work out in the end. -
Should've looked good against Jacksonville but we know how that went down.
-
Since Tepper bought the team we've made 43 draft selections before this last draft. Of those 43 only 11 I would consider guys that should be on NFL rosters, not even starters but should be on teams period. Of those 11 only 4 are good to above average NFL players. Brian Burns correcting me if I'm wrong but hurney pick Hubbard picked by Matt rhules wife Derrick Brown this was Hurneys last first round pick right? Jaycee Horn - the one pick fitterer/Morgan made that looks like a pro bowl player. Problem is they picked him right in front of first team all pro at the same position.

I'm with you on this. I watched the beginning until the weather delay, saw enough of the game to say to myself, "I think I will go outside and cut my grass". Pretty sad that cutting grass is way better than watching the Can'thers play. Actually had a good time and the weather was awesome. Probably gonna stick with that M/O for the foreseeable future.

Tepper makes the wrong decision in literally every case. It's laughable at this point. It is as hard as getting every single decision right. Give me one example of one thing he's got correct in 8 fuging years. It's no surprise that promoting the assistant GM that worked for the worst GM that I've ever seen was a mistake. This goes all the way back to insisting that Ron run a 3-4 and the defense goes to complete poo and we suck. That decision in my opinion cost us 3 or 4 more seasons of the greatest middle linebacker to ever do it.

Highest rate of incompletions due to WR error
kungfoodude replied to CRA's topic in Carolina Panthers
Currently Cam and Bryce have the exact same career completion percentage at 59.9. The differences in their play/career arcs are immense, however. -
LOL we have been talking about fixing Bryce Youngs footwork for almost 3 years now.if his footwork has shown little to no improvement in that amount of time then you might have to come to the realization while at the same time using a little common sense it's not natural to Bryce Young with his small stature/ size to step up in the pocket plant his feet & drive the ball from the back leg to the front leg while remaining stable.no instead you see BY becoming easily overly excited & then as a result starts alot of unessary scrambling & hopping around & maybe it's not necassirly he is scared all the time & it has more to do with his height & he is trying to find the right angles for visual purposes whatever it is he puts himself in a position where he cannot stay balanced when he throws the ball & anytime you throw the ball unbalanced it not only effects your power but it also effects your accuracy/ timing point being the real problem with Bryce Youngs bad footwork is his small size ...just saying
-
It's just a slow start, guys. Be patient, year 27 of the rebuild is gonna be fugging lit
-
Fixing Bryce doesn't seem possible and Tepper I think has figured that out "the allowed benching last year for one example"

A lookback at Morgan's first draft
SmokinwithWilly replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
We've tried to get too fancy when we clearly lack talent all around. Stop worrying about RAS scores and elite athleticism and just draft guys that can play. We've wasted picks on raw prospects with potential instead of drafting IOL, then paying guys on the inside instead of spending it on defense where it was necessary. Chinn goes to another system and does really well and Evero couldnt even figure out how to get him on the field, and when he was he was out of position so it made him play like ass. We just seem to do the most ass backwards things over and over again. FFS, this really cant be that difficult can it? -
It's by design. Because DC doesn't trust Bryce to make audibles.
-
I don't know how someone could watch that game for 3+ quarters and think that Bryce wasn't a problem.

You're burying the lede... our GM is writing to Benjamin "Lack of Epithet" Solak for advice on what to do with our QB!
-
Not a college football guy, but maybe I'll start watching South Carolina.
-
I’ll see what Dan’s picks do this year but if it’s another lackluster class, we’re cooked, probably the biggest reason this team has suck for so long is the guys we’ve had at GM bust and failed trades left and right
-
The more you look ahead Look ahead to the future son You realize the shrimp is gone And there’s plenty little fish beyond That boy fluttered like Bubba in Vietnam So run, run, run Forest, run Bryce Young sucks, just look beyond -Napoleon

Honestly, 2020 and 2021 were the years we sat on our asses like idiots. First being 2020. Love may have been the one we missed out on with a trade down or a trade up from our 2nd pick. And Hurts was a totally viable 2nd rounder to take a flier on after going DB. Love in particular was one of those top guys pre-college season, but he had a lot of TOs his last year and some iffy decision making pegged him back by scouts. If we hired a staff with a decent plan and vision (instead of Rhule and whatever he wanted to do) willing to groom him behind a vet, that may have been the money bet. 2021, it was Fields. We could've tried him on for size, even if it didn't work, it would have put us in position to draft a QB in 2024. It all sucks. We chased.
