With Ehlers, it's all about money from what I've heard. Still expecting the Canes to sign him at around 9.5m AAV unless it's gone up again. Others is mostly geographic location. Raleigh isn't a very big city that's what a lot of young couples want "Ranatan and Marner"
-
Yeah, this is what I've been talking about for some time. What is it? Is it the team? The geographic? The GM and/or coach? The Canes cannot lure top end talent here and I can't figure out what the issue is.
-
was anyone actually bricked up going into either of our Super Bowl runs?
-
I haven't been this bricked up about the Panthers since 2015.
-
Orlov got a two year deal with San Jose worth 6.5m AAV.
-
This. YOu can see the culture forming. Positive energy everywhere and we now appear to have a team full of dawgs. I haven't been this excited for season since forever.
-
Elhers at 7 x 9.5AAV is what I'm expecting.
-
His agent trying to get him the most money possible. Only three teams in it. Utah, Washington and Carolina.
-
Don’t see Ehlers picking Carolina, if he was it would have happened by now because we are the most competitive team that can offer the most money. Not sure what we pivot to now but it’s time to look in the mirror. Top end players don’t want to play for Rod and Carolina. Raleigh is not a sexy market.

'I believe what they say they're going to change around here" Good

Tillis will probably end up being another Brandon Beane. Some other team gets ‘the guy’ while we are left with scraps.
-
He needs to help produce success in order to capitalize on the partnership to get a promotion

Bro has to be the longest surviving make a wish kid I’ve ever seen. Theres no other explanation for him having this job. He makes Joe Person look like Bryant Gumble. -
what are you expecting from the Panthers media team? all they have to offer is hope and fluff

The play at 9:20 is all I need to see. Absolute stud. -
yeah, I think XL gets comical fan hate at this point. did he have some drops? Sure. He was basically in the same ballpark as Worthy, Coleman, Mitchell, etc. of the same draft class. Rookies. Happens. His career began on a team that had horrific QB play. Improved to meh QB play. And finished with a couple random "good" games graded on a Bryce curve. And it was literally just a couple. Games where Not sure what people expect to happen in that situation and Bryce isn't the naturally pairing in terms of play style for a WR like XL (which we all acknowledged when we drafted him). I think XL leads the team in yards this year actually. I think father time officially catches AT this year. I think Tmac will have some legit growing pains (which is also fine).
-
Even if it's fluffed up, this team needs some confidence and optimism. I mean, look what happened to Bryce once he got his confidence back, he balled out. Sometimes if you just feel great about yourself, you'll play great.
-
Ayton would have been a nice get but I didn’t think it was really possible he would come here. He is from Cali and seems to prefer that part of he country
-
We need to capitalize on this Morgan-Canales-Tillis partnership before Tillis gets a GM job.
-
Like every season we won't know anything until the live fire starts. However, I am impressed with the high level of optimism from everyone in the organization. Canales was even mentioning making the playoffs. Wow.

And really, it should be 4 reasons with the last one being that there were ZERO other offensive weapons on that team in 2024, opposing defenses only had to worry about one player all year long and they constantly double and triple teamed him right off the snap all season. In 2023, we still had Jacob Cowing who had 90 catches that year and was drafted by the 49ers last year, so teams couldn't just send everyone after T-Mac on every passing down.

I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee

3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023. Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.

Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
