  1. Past hour
  2. I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
  3. Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge. Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely. Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player. Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE. Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive. Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft. This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
  4. You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game. But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
  5. Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind. Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
  6. Today
  7. Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018. This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker. Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball. It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen. He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud. Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired. Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
  8. I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year. It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
  9. Yea Bryce was definitely a top half qb the second half of last season but I'm not sure Canales is 100% sold on him. Like I've said in another post I think that's part of why we talked to so many South Carolina players in the draft process. I think they are doing early due diligence on Sellers just in case.
  10. My question about Bryce is still the same one that made me make him qb3 in that draft. Does his happy feet keep coming back like it did in college and his first two years as a pro or has he finally gotten rid of that issue. If he's solved his happy feet issue, then he should turn into a good starter... If not, well the Panthers will be drafting another QB really soon.
  11. I believe this is the part where someone says "puff puff, pass".
  12. I try to sync the tv with the hurricanes broadcast.
  13. I'm not so sure when it comes to Smitty. He didn't say anything about what he heard til well after the draft. Also Smitty didn't completely hate picking WR so much as the one picked. Think he had T-Mac ranked 5th among WR, 6th if you count Hunter.
  14. Im still hesitant on Bryce. Needs to get us out of drafting in the top 10. If we are, I go QB.
  15. This is the NFL. It chews up and spits out players of all sizes, strengths, and ability. It is unfortunate that Cam's career was short. I knew when we drafted him, if he never evolved his game, his career was indeed going to be short. None of this takes away from Cam. He was a beast. He was a natural leader. Unfortunately this league took it's toll on him as it often does to the majority of players. Luke. Morgan. Reason. Most running backs. Many many many quarterbacks. No players, no positions are protected from the injury risk this sport carries.
  16. The next time Legette scores, I want to see the whole team ridin' Dollar Bill in the endzone!!!
  17. It's kinda true but also kinda not true. He did rely on his physical gifts to dominate in the NFL, and everyone thought he'd eventually have to learn how to play from the pocket instead of running. But instead, his shoulder gets completely fuged by injuries before his athleticism started to decline.
  18. He should retire, but I could see him signing somewhere else for a year before he does.
  19. When I analyze any one and aby player, i look at his body of work. This includes what made Bryce the number one pick in the draft notnjust by our franchise, but also by experts everywhere. While he struggled his first season, and didn't have his confidence at the beginning of this season, since returning to the field he has played with confidence. He has played well, and made the big plays routinely that he made in college. Say what you want about his struggles as a pro, but the young man has what it takes to not just play the position, but to excell at it. You can choose to be cautious all you like, but his body of work tells me he's going to be fine. I'm looking forward to seeing him excell at spreading the ball around, making this offense nit just fun to watch, but challenging for even the best defenses to stop.
  20. It's 2025 and people are still saying this? Cam's not playing anymore because Kelvin Benjamin is a lazy ass WR and TJ Watt targeted his shoulder.
  21. You dont know me. Stop pretending you do. God Bless.
  22. I fully believe Nikishin is more than capable, but there is something to be said for team chemistry and NHL playoff experience. I mean if the decision was made to sit Burns, we have the ideal guy to pair with Nikishin as well in Slavin so there's that. Since we are talking about Burnsy, does he go one more year or retire?
  23. What I saw was huge improvement going from terrible to one of the top 10 qbs by year end. I don't just want good play, I want continued improvement as he spends year 2 in the same system with the same guys (with a few upgrades) and Canales goes into year 2 as a head coach. I want Bryce to continue to show that he is worthy of the top pick in the draft. I think I will be disappointed if he is just good unless he keep getting better as he goes. He is finally got the talent and coaching he needs. Given how chaotic Tepper'reign has been, I think we have really lowered our expectations. Which is totally understandable to avoid abject disappointment each year.
