Go figure the one and only in game coaching decision John Fox got right was an eyes covered bullseye.

ESPN's All Quarter Century Team 2000-2025
HeelsPanthersCanes replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ain’t no chance in hell C-Mac belongs on this list. And I’m indifferent to him faking injuries to get traded, I would’ve done the same thing in this sh*t organization. -
ESPN's All Quarter Century Team 2000-2025
LinvilleGorge replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
From a roster building perspective I understand putting CMC on there given that he's one of the best receiving backs ever. But the way these teams are usually structured in terms of sheer merit not sure about that one. - Today

Three Panthers selected, one of which I think is very surprising, can't really argue with the rest. They seemed to base it on multi season heaters over single season https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45042048/nfl-best-all-quarter-century-team-25-years-tom-brady-randy-moss-ray-lewis Spoilers in White below Julius Peppers at DE, Luke Kuechly at LB, Christian McCaffrey at RB

Dates for Training camp are released
WhoKnows replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
We’ve started the last 2 seasons 1-13. You’d think with so many rookies assumed to be getting significant playing time the past couple of years that we would get them as many snaps as possible. A guy like Moton doesn’t need the snaps but Young did. Young didn’t have a 200+ yard game with no INTs until week 16 in 2023 and week 12 in 2024. The young guys need reps. 1-13 isn’t worth keeping our offense a secret until we start the season. I don’t recall a single good reason for us to act like we were an experienced playoff team the past two years. -
I have been watching these guys for a while now and I like Kon, VJ and also Tre for that matter. But I put on Ace Bailey it’s a different level. That dude can easily be the best player out of this draft. His upside is ridiculous. His shot making at that size is nuts. Put him at the 2 or 3 and he will have growing pains but whatever. I think he can be great and it won’t take long.

Anyone else think we’re getting too hyped
Davidson Deac II replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think we are getting that much "hype". There are thousands of sports analyst today, with each one striving to be different from the others. So it stands to reason a few of them are going to say positive things about us. Most of the major publications are going to have us down until we prove something on the field. -
One of the best decisions in John Fox's career was starting Jake in the second half who was listed as the third string QB at the time. But Fox said he had a feeling at the time that Jake had something.

I have Charlotte trading back to 7 with the Pelicans and drafting Maluach. Williams getting traded and Alvarado coming back along with other pieces. Hornets front office really like Maluach and he seems to be the target they want but not at 4.
-
Not sure what happened with Charlotte drivers but most of these drivers should not be on the road. Driving below speed limit, hogging lanes, swerving all over, creating bottlenecks. I do not recall drivers ever being so bad in Charlotte…. Wonder what changed? Any one else noticed it?

I agree the free agent class is thin but with all the draft capital Tulsky has I expect some big trades as well

I mean we haven't had a winning season in going on 8 years we have had the worst win percentage in all of sports the last few years and we spent most of last summer arguing with each other on whether to be hyped or cautiously optimistic. To the point he was trying to moderate the discourse all throughout training camp. The staff then decided to hold the starters out of preseason until the very end and we started off the season with two of the ugliest losses in franchise history. Yet apparently in his mind the problem is....the fans who are justifiably apprehensive to buy the hype again before seeing some consistency in actual games? I don't see anything remotely unreasonable about it and it certainly doesn't make anyone any less of a fan or inferior to someone else unless that someone is mentally ill.

Preach it, friend!

This isnt true. I've been here long enough to know who the "realists" are, and they have always been the same posters.
-
Been getting hyped up this time of year since 95, I expect a Lombardi evey year, and I am unashamed.
-
No hype. We are predicted to be the 27th to 29th team by everything i see

bro... Greg was a head case from day one. I get defending the human and expressing empathy for his circumstance but discussing him in the context his career choices where people are selected for their violent tenancies isn't really the place to got "but the consequences of his violent career..." Dude choose violence

it’s really just the ones who want Bryce gone and never want him in a Panthers uniform, ever, regardless of how well he does. Those who are hopeful for Bryce doing well have an optimistic slant on the season. The incessant Bryce knockers, the never Brycers, don’t see the season amounting to anything. It’s weird psychology.
-
I will say this. I am far from sold on this defense. If it comes together like their plan/vision, then yes, there will be something to be excited for, because our offense is built to hold the ball and score. We dobt need the defense to be elite. Although it does need to be above average at take aways if this team is going to be successful this season.

Anyone else think we’re getting too hyped
Pejorative Miscreant replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cautiously optimistic. Bryce’s tenure has been 20% feast and 80% famine. I was all in for Bryce at first then I sunk to he’s done and now my arrow is moving to positive again but remain in the just at wait and see mode. I feel pretty good about the staff and better about the roster so hoping we see an uptick. Team was playing very competitive football to end last season and a 5-12 team energized a downtrodden fan base with many wishing there was a week 19. Could be in a better spot but the spot we are in is better than expected so I’ll take it. -
5tds. Zero interceptions. Every single one of you should be downright giddy of Bryce Youngs true potential. If our defense can be at least, average, this team is going to knock the fug out of some teams.

Weren't they inevitably correct? Odd take on trying to dunk on someone? -
Hype away..... it is the dead space between mini-camp and training camp. The hype is for fans. Players know that you have put in the work and by all reports they seem ready to do it. After all, the last few years the only hype we got was early as we sucked down the road. It is sad panthers fans can't enjoy the hype for fear it isn't going to work out.
-
That is so bad. Even worse, it’s bad and unoriginal. If you need to auto tune a basic ass flow like that then just stop.
