Is Hendon Hooker that bad he can't get a shot??
X-Clown replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
My hopes aren’t high given that the Lions a) signed teddy bridgewater off the street who was coaching high school football near the end of last year so that they wouldn’t have to play him if Goff got hurt, b) he lost the backup job to Kyle Allen in the preseason, c) he’s been on the team for just a few weeks now -
Robinson allgier 300+ yards rushing
-
Couldn't we have signed Deablo for LB? Guy has been everywhere tonight. Another Dan Morgan blunder. Get him out

How will the Panthers prepare for Atlanta?
UnluckyforSome replied to Kick's topic in Carolina Panthers
Flatten the tires on the team bus so they don't make it to the stadium? -
I think atlanta is gonna be an embarrassing loss instead of a competitive one next week. They will exploit our weaknesses, which is pretty much everything.

Is Hendon Hooker that bad he can't get a shot??
flagfootballcoach28 replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm probably in the minority, but I don't want to see Bryce Young benched yet. Especially for Hendon freaking Hooker. Sorry. -
Credit where credit is due, the Falcons pass rush, normally a thing of myth, did get to him frequently. I think we lose next week as well, and the Falcons aren't good, but if they muster up some rush again, we might be in for a beating.
-
I think several teams did it to us in 2015 after we jumped all over them. We almost lost some Big leads. If memory serves… This game reminded me of those, from the other side.
-
Regarding Mccarthy, I think the bloom is off the rose a bit. He may still be good, but has not been good tonight.
-
Hendon Hooker looked pretty interesting as a collegiate, but since being a pro the glass slipper has eluded him.
-
Then they aren't really a head coach and a general manager, but just puppets to Tepper.

Who will be assigned to #7 Bijan Robinson???? OC need to coach on how to effectively catch a pass. Can We Get A WINNNNN? Keep Pounding!!!!!

Lol yeah we have enjoyed a glimpse of professional quarterbacking in week three. Andy will stand tall and take the hit to make the play and that is a requirement. But, I think the streak ends.

I'm ready to see anything other than Bryce Young. -
What makes you think this franchise deserves nice things?

Be careful, the copperheads are out big time
Paa Langfart replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Huddle Lounge
The cottonmouth was least aggressive and close to home -less than 100 feet and she left the premises unmolested by me. The canebreak was inside my backyard fence while swhmbo was hanging the wash and had to go with its rattling tail. This copperhead one of my cats had cornered in the yard. There have unfortunately been many others over the years but I never feel good killing wildlife. There is damn litttle of it left and all of them serves a purpose. -

If Bryce gets benched again, there’s not another comeback story for him wearing a panthers jersey. It’s over. -
So, just what is it that makes a QB "elite"?
UnluckyforSome replied to Brooklyn 3.0's topic in Carolina Panthers
Elite? It's wins. It's when it all comes down to a final drive and a td wins it, and there is just that feeling in the air. The elite ones just have IT, and when teams are unfortunate enough to have to give the ball back to them near the end, they know what is coming. -
I feel like there had to be some kind of Bryce busting contingency agreement that would allow Canales a clean shot if the Bryce thing doesn’t bear fruit. Meaning unless there are other issues he should be okay. There might be other things. I know what the anti Morgan people say, and they may be right. That he lobbied for Bryce. Right along with the rest of them. Swallowed all of it, the hook the line and the sinker. I just can’t believe anyone who played in the NFL could look at Bryce and feel that way. I think Dan as a LB would be salivating to play against him. I cannot resolve that conflict in my mind so I don’t totally buy that he was an advocate. I see it more like his job is to support his boss. Putting on a unified front. While having enough sense to see which way and how hard the wind was blowing around him. You can’t do much being the lone holdout when you are below people on the totem pole. So I want to say he was pragmatic. Fine if you don’t agree, not down for arguing about it. We are all speculating about it anyway. The way they drafted and signed and spent in 2024 was overwhelmingly slanted towards one goal which was propping up the weak link. That tells me they had a mandate from the boss to make it work, whatever it took. I am not so quick to dismiss Morgan under those circumstances, and I think this year’s rookie class is going to be pretty successful. I think the team will improve as we go, and prefer to wait before condemning the whole operation. To me they are majorly handicapped at QB. Playing from the white tees in a blue tee league. Now, otoh if I knew for a fact that Dan Morgan was a pro Bryce over Stroud man, and had real Bryce belief? I would want him gone no matter his history. Stated as a person who was vehemently anti NFL Bryce (not personally, only as an NFL 1st overall).

Panthers scouts should have a rule where they CAN'T scout anyone from NC or SC unless they are getting national hype. Had XL not gone to SC we'd never have drafted him. #jrreid
-
Yea i would say the trying to make him a character will cut off entirely by the end of this season.
-
Why did we trade up for him? What a wasted pick. We better hope he gets it together or he's going to ride the bench until they find someone to take him
-
Yeah he does a great job picking apart everything 5 to 10 yards away. That’s what he did at Alabama because you had depth chart full of game changers and teams were just trying the “bend don’t break” approach. You don’t have that in the NFL and definitely not on the Carolina Panthers. He can’t get to the end zone in less than 10 plays or push the ball down the field. He crumbles with pressure and when he gets touched, the ball flys out of his hands. We have seen him throw it deep before and it turns into a duck and comes falling down awkwardly because he has no zip after 15-20 yards. You can tell this when he runs around taking forever to get rid of the ball, he’s waiting for somebody to be super duper wide open so he doesn’t throw a pick or to move closer to him.
