For the Saints, the their passing offense has generated 1565 yards (38 by T. Hill) and their rushing offense only 643 over that span. They have 7 passing TDs by Shough (1 by Hill) and 4 rushing TDs (2 by Shough). So Shough has accounted for 9 of their 12 TDs in that span (%75) and 70% of their total yards. For a rookie that is pretty impressive. Bryce is definitely contributing, though I think he's also part of why the offense as a whole struggles, given our rushing yards are pretty good, and we've all seen Canales inexplicably stop rushing near the goal line. As of the last 7 games... Panthers run game has been weaker than its height, but 3 consecutive 100 yard games and an average of 130 over the last 3 bodes well. We had a rough patch there vs the Saints, Falcons, and 49ers, but hopefully it's back on track.

Guy has the height and the size to be a force. Should they give him some more time to develop? Are you all giving up hope? Will another off season help if he applies himself? Maybe better suited for the TE position? I think another season to improve and he can turn the corner. What do u think?

Well the numbers and FA year might just be a coincidence, someone has to throw it to him. I don’t know his health history but year one he got 110 targets. Next three years were 59, 90, 74. This year so far, 106. Maybe he was never open? Or hurt?

Listening to the interviews today, I get a feeling we bout to finish the season out a lil more locked in and angry...

Since Shough started, Young has thrown for 1306 yards and 12 TD's. The Panthers as a team have only rushed for 764 yards, scoring only 4 TD's. Not sure how can you say Young isn't doing a ton of heavy lifting when he alone accounts for 64% of the yardage and 75% of the TD. I'll give you the fact the Panthers were leaning on the run game early on but since the Green bay game, it has not really been that productive.

There is barely anywhere that we couldn’t use a first round talent. I just hope they hit on whoever they draft. Defense makes plenty of sense of the value is there. I can’t believe how well the defense is doing with such a weak pass rush.

No, not you. If you look at my post time, there was another thread on the rookie class between your post and mine. Same praise as two weeks prior and they’ve posted almost word for word matches to other articles on Panthers related sites with no credit. Posting the same content after every win is annoying and posting about the same topic (rookie class) just clutters. You had interesting content, other thread added nothing and got more posts.

Staal isn't dropping unless someone comes after him. Chatty won't, they can't afford him in the box for 5 minutes. Carrier in a minute, but he's out.

I’ve never seen the leash, excuses rationalization done for such meh QB play in Panthers QB history….to the extent done for Bryce Young. It’s not glazing Shough. It’s pointing out Bryce is giving you comparable level of QB play that is dirt cheap in the NFL….and we don’t need to get into a bad spot over that. Thats a hard pill to swallow….so you see it as Shough glaze

Convo isn’t one stat, number or thought. You keep projecting that. The TEAM has something to do with those TDs….because our pass attack is 26th in the NFL. How do you think we are moving the ball. Bryce isn’t doing a ton of lifting nor has a great deal on his shoulders in our offense. and he clearly isn’t very efficient by the majority of metrics we measure efficiency. Which gets into why Dave has ramped up his 4th down gambling that was overwhelming going our way but is going to even out in time .

I've never seen a guy here try so hard to glaze a rival QB.
