We should draft a Notre Dame TE to have an all ND tight end room

REPORT: Cade Mays will hit the free-agent market
frankw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess some fans have already forgotten the Paradis/Elflein days. Center should remain a top priority. -
good post...like signing a LB a lot, plus draft one. If we can get a real TE I'm for it. Not a great year for edge in FA or the draft imho. Get some depth and let the sophs get experience, hopefully better hunting next year.

I cannot imagine chasing off Mike Tomlin to turn around and hire Mike McCarthy. LOL After drafting Pickett in the 1st and now this, the Steelers seem to get slipping hard as an overall organization.

I would like to have him back (he was solid) but by no means should we consider paying him larger money. We have too much tied up in the line already and need to draft someone -

Per Tony Pauline: During a recent team-needs piece on the Houston Texans, I mentioned that the team has a screaming need on the interior of their offensive line. That same day, I also mentioned in a separate article on the Carolina Panthers that center Cade Mays was not expected back and will hit the free-agent market in March. Sources here at the Shrine Bowl expect the Texans to make a run at Mays once free agency opens to fill the hole they have at center. Mays, a sixth-round pick by Carolina in 2022, has started 27 games for the Panthers, including 20 over the past two seasons.

there is really no argument against that

The steelers fans who chanted fire Tomlin because of his lack of success in the playoffs recently are getting what they deserve with McCarthy. Tomlin was getting teams to the playoffs with the corpses of Big Ben, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, the law firm of Trubisky/Pickett/Rudolph/Fields. Good luck getting that out of McCarthy

I thought this thread was gonna be an F-150 review

McCarthy is a terrible hire lol
-
What about McDermott for head coach?

That's laughable to hire McCarthy -

That seems like a weird hire for Pittsburgh. They don't usually do retreads, and you expect whoever they hire to stick around for 10-15 years.
-
Wow no kidding. McCarthy is the retread that won’t die.
-
I know a Steelers fan who was pumped Tomlin left, I need check and see how he feels now lol
-
McCarthy has one SB ring from 15 years ago and he had Favre, Rodgers, and Prescott as his QBs. Let's see how he does with semi-retired Rodgers or Will Howard as his QB...

Best possible news for CLE... That fat heads time has passed.

I would trust anybody here to make shootout lineups more than whoever is doing it for the Canes! Totally agree on Freddie only playing in back to back games.

LB Leo Chenal, Kansas City Chiefs (82.0) Best Landing Spot: Carolina Panthers After playing a limited role as a situational run-stuffing and blitzing linebacker to start his career with the Chiefs, Chenal is ready to take on a full-time role elsewhere. He has posted a 70.0-plus PFF run-defense grade in each of his first four seasons. But, it’s his improvements in coverage — headlined by a career-best 72.6 PFF grade in 2025 — that should make him an enticing option The Panthers' linebacking corps failed to produce a single player with a PFF overall grade above 55.0. Adding Chenal to headline the group as the new green-dot communicator would project well for a defense that ranked 23rd in EPA per play allowed this past season https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-best-landing-spots-highest-graded-free-agents-defense-2026
