I think the thing is it's fine to win games where your QB doesn't need to perform particularly well. The issue is that his best games this year have been those games. And we gotta decide what to do with him after this year... Which, I think we know.
-
Sure, can't fault that thinking But when you still throw it 30 times in a game, more than 8 should be going to your best player when nobody else can crack the 31 yard mark and said best player caught all 6 of the catchable targets. This is basically the same argument as the people who weren't upset with us not opening up the playbook in the big win agains the Falcons. Just because we won, doesn't mean our coaching staff called a good game and thus they aren't absolved of criticism. Winning in spite of your coaching decisions isn't a good thing.

You should be singing Rico Dowdle's praises instead of whatever it is you're doing here calling other folks retards because they don't align with your warped POV. Very cringe.

Official Week 5: Dolphins @ Panthers Gameday Thread

If this defense shows up the rest of the year I’m not expecting playoffs but will be fun to watch games. Coker, Sanders, and Hubbard hopefully will be back soon. Just hope next week isn’t a home game for the Cowboys and CeeDee has a sore ankle still. -

Damn you poo’d me just for mentioning it haha -
Nah, the issue with the Double Trouble approach is you rob RBs from getting in grove and getting hot. We know Hubbard gets better the more he gets. Rico got rolling today too. I think the rep split nerfs RBs to a agree and prevents them from ever getting rolling we got to good RBs. Thats a great thing. But I don’t want them altering series. You don’t get special days like today doing that

The Seahawks and Bucs should have kept these old school color schemes -

My takeaways: Tet is ungardable What does Brady have to do to earn a starting spot back? -
Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry. Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team. Absolutely phenomenal performance. If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.

I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie. Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.

Every win comes from a non-sustainable source. As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards. We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are. Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together. The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again. That was not even an average QB performance. We are winning in spite of him.

Dang… this is like a stat that some normal teams have at this point in the season! Go us!!
-
Until the QB play improves, this team’s offense should be built around the running game. Whether that appeals to the powers that be shouldn’t matter since the Super Bowl champs are built around the running game.

Did the Panthers get Mike McDaniel fired now?

I thought I was the only one! Watching Delhomme flounder for 3 quarters then finally put it together in the 4th and get praised for it. Instead of just not being ass to get us in the hole to begin with.
-
He turned it around second half and was a part of winning the game. Easily buys him another week even though he has clear limitations and somehow doesn’t have command of the offense in year 3.
-
Missed the game, was flying back from a wedding but caught the last 5 minutes on the radio in the car. Go Panthers!
-
We just won. Some of yall love to be miserable.

Donald LaFell started following Was Horn shadowing Waller after the 1st Q?
-
It felt like they put Horn on him after the big 1st quarter. Seemed to work. Huge props to the defense.
-
Hubbard and Dowdle have the potential to be an impressive 1 to 2 punch. They could be our new D-Will and Stewart if the offense features them together consistently.
-
He played well when Hunt went down. PFF said he was ass last week but there was a noticeable difference in a bad way when he got hurt.
-
I'm sorry but this is just dumb. This season is about one thing and one thing only: evaluating Bryce. Nothing else matters. Every time he throws it to T-Mac, it makes me angry. Why? Anyone can throw to that guy, he's too good. What do we learn when Bryce makes another completion to T-Mac? We learn nothing, it's just a waste. We need throws to third string rookie TEs. We need our OL to let at least one rusher through into Bryce's face every play. That's the only way we can know if Bryce is our future.

Great birthday present and it was a Gamecock delivering the goods today to boot!
-
This is what bothered me about the Delhomme and Cardiac Cats era. You get more credit for not committing turnovers vs working through your own mistakes. Young is holding the team back. Defense, ST, and the run game came to play today and we almost lost.
