  2. Panthers scouts should have a rule where they CAN'T scout anyone from NC or SC unless they are getting national hype. Had XL not gone to SC we'd never have drafted him. #jrreid
  3. Yea i would say the trying to make him a character will cut off entirely by the end of this season.
  4. Why did we trade up for him? What a wasted pick. We better hope he gets it together or he's going to ride the bench until they find someone to take him
  5. Yeah he does a great job picking apart everything 5 to 10 yards away. That’s what he did at Alabama because you had depth chart full of game changers and teams were just trying the “bend don’t break” approach. You don’t have that in the NFL and definitely not on the Carolina Panthers. He can’t get to the end zone in less than 10 plays or push the ball down the field. He crumbles with pressure and when he gets touched, the ball flys out of his hands. We have seen him throw it deep before and it turns into a duck and comes falling down awkwardly because he has no zip after 15-20 yards. You can tell this when he runs around taking forever to get rid of the ball, he’s waiting for somebody to be super duper wide open so he doesn’t throw a pick or to move closer to him.
  6. Nothing really. I am trying to be positive and proactive and suggest some sort of use for a player that was drafted as 1st round wr, but has no future as a 1st round wr. Personally, I guess we drafted a mascot. He sure talks funny though, don't he? Har har.
  7. You don’t want your friend to make money?
  8. If he's gonna last in the league it's probably as a gadget player. The problem is that he hasn't shown much of anything with the ball in his hands either.
  9. Bryce now has a 6-26 record. What else is there to discuss really?
  10. And if you're gonna draft a project, draft a young one not a guy who's already as old on draft day as a lot of second and even third year pros.
  11. I think he needs to learn how to return punts and kicks. Maybe consider a change to RB. Although it would be terrifying watching him field punts with the game on the line.
  12. Anytime I hear “biceps” injury on a lineman, I go ahead and assume they’re done for the year.
  13. Yea, I started a thread about us needing to draft him on here in November of 2023, or 18 months before he'd even have been draft eligible, lol, and I'm sure I probably brought him up in other threads at some point before then too. Yea, and that's my point, I know I should feel like an unhappy camper right now, but damned if I just can't find those feelings because of how well he's playing. It's more than holding me over right now, I'm still just so fuging happy that he's a Panther that the rest is just white noise.
  14. Had to get a running start to the LOS to make it go 20 yards
  15. If we give him a second contract I don't think I can continue to support the team. The last 8 years have been tough enough to stomach. I can't do another 5-7 years
  16. An elite QB is somebody who can take over a game. Somebody who makes those around him better just by being on the team. Mahomes, Brady, Manning, etc. The only “elite” QBs in the NFL right now are Mahomes and maybe Allen in my opinion. There are some very good QBs (Burrow, Jackson, Stafford) but they are not “elite”.
  17. I still am pretty nonplussed though, and despite McMillan's nice start to his career, I'm not a happy camper.
  18. He’s an example of not letting your vision for how you think everyone’s vibes should be supersede what’s on the damn field.
  19. Bryce’s weak arm was on full display during that hilarious drive.
  20. THIS I kept yelling at how many red zone plays we ran without throwing it his way, just mind boggling to have a weapon like that constantly getting single coverage near the end zone and not throwing it up to him.
  21. What makes you think he can hit someone? Tremayne had been a really good gunner for us already so far this season.
  22. We already have the better version of him on the practice squad.
  23. Given a good quarterback and defensive coordinator I think he can be a successful coach. Things are stacked against him right. Partially his fault. But I think some of it is to please the Teppers. Rivera made some bad decisions his first couple years as a first time head coach, but he had Cam and a much better defense to win some games.
  24. Harbaughs' too much of an alpha for Tepper. I'm noticing a trend with Tepper and big personalities like Cam and Harbaugh, he doesn't like em or wants to avoid them.
