Seth Walder: Regrading 8 trades from the 2024 NFL trade deadline
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would be more impressive if we would have targeted better guys in the first place but it's good to see them move on from some of their mistakes. Now do the rest already... -
Miller-Walker were on the same line for both Kings and Vegas, at least they were in warmups, not sure about switching during the games. The biggest missing piece to me is Ghost, his defense is much improved and his points are needed on offense.
-
Because it's Dave's MO. It's what he wants to do and Dalton allows him to do it, even if he shouldn't. He will run down an old man from the bench but can't do it with Young or Dave is the problem...which says enough about the entire situation IMO

Dump that at shitterers feet. Two firsts and a second. Instead we traded CMC off for scraps and ate an ass ton of dead money -
The question is from daves perspective why does he feel like he can throw it more when dalton plays??? Nobody ever thinks about this...to me it speaks how he really feels about bryce.

It is pretty obvious that you should not draft a player that you do not like/believe in. We should be scouting qb's for the 2026 draft and have a plan though.
-
I knew Drake Maye would be good. Not that hard. Some were out on him as a rookie because he struggled he would have struggled this year too if not for great coaching.

Panthers obviously laughably mismanaged that situation all around. But he's ultimately where he wanted to be. Big city bright lights. -
Can we get that Italian guy from the Giants too? I hear Will Grier is available What a fanbase

Looks like he will have a new seasons best total this year but they are also 2-5. He had 9 total sacks last year if I remember correctly. 1 year over 10 total too I would still take that trade in a heart beat. All downhill after that move. He was never a guy they could build around after a mega deal either which he is showing on a bottom 3rd D. Could have been us lol so that 2nd isn't too bad if you forget it was wasted -

I just remember sometime in the second or third quarter when he was here wondering where the heck Burns was only to see him getting clowned by a TE Or seeing trying to arm tackle a QB because he ran right past him Glad he's gone -

There is a guy that is so passionate about this that he stalked me for a bit over it. We should have traded him sooner, but I am ok with him not being here. I don't forget how we felt about him being on a milk carton a lot of the time. He wanted to be paid as the #1 in the league at the time. No thank you. -

I mean, we should have either: a) Traded him to the Rams for that bag 2) Traded him to Bears instead of DJ Moore (I think he was one of the three they'd take) 3) If none of the above, you sign him because you valued him obviously. We chose: Trade him for less than we could have got two times lol. -

He is having a good year. On pace for his second double digit sack season of his now 7 year career. This is the peak of his career so he SHOULD be producing at his contract level. Not upset that we aren't tied to an almost $30 mil contract. TBH, Horn and Brown have been better core players. -
I remember people saying we reached for Luke. Not anyone here, but analysts. Draft positioning only matters for QBs, and the last decade has proved that QB's taken in the draft are a complete ass coinflip, there is zero way to predict if a QB is going to be good or not. Just draft and pray you get lucky
-
Depends how they get to that 6-11 record.
-
You can't just throw a first round pick at a QB because you need a QB.
-
And it still got Cowher fired.
