The NHL’s department of player safety announced that Ridly Greig will have a hearing for sucker punching Sean Walker during Ottawa’s game 4 loss to Carolina. (Via: NHLPlayerSafety/X) (: @biznasty )

That's what he did in Carolina with the Hurricanes too. Got rid of Forslund, went cheaper on coaching with Rod and his staff, went cheaper on GM and then even cheaper than that with Tulsky. Then when they started winning and coaching wanted more money, he played hardball with them multiple times. He'll pay for players but he absolutely won't pay for frills, won't pay for staff or anything of the like. An NBA team of player's will go through shock at what he's going to do.

Would have liked to see more Offensive linemen. Only a T and G. -
It's extremely easy when you view your employees as subhuman leeches that only exist to serve you while costing you as little as possible.

Fyi, Horn has the ability to return both punts and kickoffs.

Round 4: The Carolina Panthers select CB Will Lee (Texas A&M)

The more I read up on him the more I like. And I have been wanting us to go more man coverage in our scheme. Hopefully he kicks that off. -

I think both have a shot--along with King, QB, who will make this roster. (emergency QB? I don't think so--I think he may be an offensive wrinkle used more than Pickett--I am confident that they will. I also think one of the big OL might make it as well. -

Could we have our very own Taysom Hill with Haynes King? I’ve been sitting here, drinking beer, thinking about this. That kid is tough as nails, will run and take a beating, can certainly pass the ball and catch! I hope he makes the team but probably won’t. He might be the best QB we have in the room now! -

I am pretty confident in Morgan and Tillis making these decisions. Dam’s player trades have worked for us just about every time. A lot of times teams just want a little something before releasing a guy and getting nothing. If Dan wants to use a 5th or 6th or whatever on a guy I will go with it. I -

I agree with this, if I’m the front office I’m trying to trade some low hanging fruit to get more picks for next years draft! Looking at you XL and a few others -

Round 3: The Carolina Panthers select WR Chris Brazzell II (Tennessee)
Growl replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’ll add to this: Brazzell has a lot of traits I like, he was consensus big board a lot higher than this. He has work to do-UF showed route chart and over half of what he did at Tenn was screens, hitches, and go’s. As basic as it gets. But I don’t hate the player at all. -

Please no using 2027 draft capital. That draft has the makings of an all timer. Tons of tackles, lots of qbs, some top shelf wrs and a few great edges -
They won with Trae, though. What have they accomplished since? They made the ECF with him back in 2020

Yeah I know. Especially with all the LBs that were drafted. Or maybe a player trade. It is what it is at this point. Maybe Wallace benefits from seeing Lloyd work, and does something to help himself. And not having the green dot to worry with. I think he thinks too much he is usually slow to the ball. -
Only thing is he's a big mismatch defensively when lined up against a much bigger center. It's not like he's going to police the front of the net as well as a bigger player. But he's been fantastic.

Aaron Hall and Isaiah Smith look intriguing -
Well there have plenty of people calling for the heads of the scouts over the last couple of years and I had a hard time with it because I wasn’t sure they even knew how it worked. I sure didn’t. So getting some insight is good And as far as that goes I heard nothing in the three I watched that leads me to believe the scouts are making the decisions. They are vetting and building a database on these guys and in the actual on the clock draft days are probably only called on to pipe up when someone has a question about a player. Shows me how much teams put into this. These scouts have followed the players for years at this point.

April! Psh, come in the winter, this place is full of them and they are swimming in the ocean. April / May is when we get everyone from NC, Ohio, Maryland and Kentucky, a few from WV and Virginia. Winter months is all about the Canadians though -
