  1. Past hour
  2. These guys aren’t on rosters now for a reason. NFL GMs aren’t dumb they know if a player is a scheme issue or not. Half of these guys signed on other teams just to be cut.
  3. I guess we are not interested in winning now. I do see the positive and negatives. I don't understand cutting Hunter. We need a solid veteran at that position.
  4. Some of you are losing your minds over a guy that is no longer (seems he wanted to leave) here. BY needs to develop with WR’s that are going to be here for much longer than a Vet that was going to leave. If BY 100% needed AT (security blanket) than we have bigger issues than an old WR leaving. It’s time for BY to either be the MAN or we draft a new QB next year with a loaded Offense.
  5. He will still be a focus on our offense. We invested a top 10 pick in him so he will get looks and plenty of opportunities.
  6. But in any profession in life, you also have people who help teach you the things they've learned over their career to make you better, particularly early in your career. I'm not saying we need a vet to be taking a ton of snaps or targets, but someone who has been around the block (as an actual WR, not a special teamer) who can help these guys out.
  7. I think there are free agents that could replace Thielen's skill set if they want to, but not by week 1. Bringing back Renfrow (if he isn't too injured to play) is the right move for now - IF they aren't confident in what we have in the room right now.
  8. Bryce fanboys? Really? Do they actually exist? Was it ever really a thing?
  9. Who would he get to come in at GM? Remember, he hired a firm to hire the best candidate which just so happened to be the only candidate mentioned. Pepper has been rejected by multiple coaches and I'd assume multiple GMs if we follow the coaches pattern. Could we see Marty Hurney 3.0?
  10. In any profession in life you gain experience by doing. We need to know what we have in these receivers in order to move forward accordingly next offseason.
  11. It's time to admit Morgan is not a good GM.
  12. He's gone. You should be happy.
  13. I agree. I just don't see Evero as being a scapegoat after they brought him back this year. If Young doesn't play well they have Dalton to lean on which should also fall on them. Rhule proved that a year 3 should be earned or it shouldn't happen.
  14. It's about the inexperience of the room Coaches can't teach players everything, I just really don't like the lack of a seasoned vet WR (Moore doesn't really count with his 115 career receptions) to help these guys out. Even just the in-between series stuff where the vets are giving the young guys tips and pointers on things, that will be missed if we don't bring someone else in (or Renfrow back).
  15. Kyle Trask will change all of that?
  16. In your scenario you still owe the bank $10M for the car, which the new owner agrees to pay. And you also have a new car that you picked up for pocket change as an UDFA.
  17. We won 2 games and had the worst passing offense in the league and probably in decades with Thielen leading the team in receptions two years ago. Some people are acting like we traded a hall of fame WR.
  18. I think TMac and XL are listed as the starters but obviously we will be playing more than 2 WR on most formations so Coker prob is a starter in that aspect.
  19. I think Theilan dropped a pass from Bryce in the first preseason game. He is washed, on the decline, over the hill (joking, but not joking.) He's still serviceable. Overall, it's a win-win situation. AT gets to go home, Panthers get a little compensation and we're already loaded at the WR position. AT has been Bryce's fav target but I agree with other Huddlers that if our offense is contingent on a 35 year old WR to be explosive, we are in trouble!
  20. Long term, I don't hate it. It's mostly about timing. Our QB is about to enter his 3rd year and we're selling off the best proven WR we have right before the season starts. We can't even use the saved salary on anything else to improve the team for this year. Long term moves are good, but was this really the right timing? We'll see.
  21. Coker in the slot could be very entertaining
  22. A new excuse has just been created. He doesn't have any receivers that are experienced and know the NFL game well enough to be relied on.
  23. vikes pickup his $7mil this year too. this is a solid deal and it's time bryce leaves the thielen nest and spread his wings. I remember we got rid of smith as well so Cam could take up more of the leadership role. Theilen served his purpose as a dependable vet to help the young QB but it's year 3 now. time for the next step. got mid teir draft picks and more $$$ for a 34 year old injury prone wr. this is a win.
