I don't know about these coaches being able to fix Darnold, but I do know this. And it throws a huge shadow of doubt on Tepper. When he was minority owner of the Steelers, he wanted to fire Tomlin when Big Ben's had injury bug started to resurface. The team was down, but Tomlin rallied them to a winning season. In fact he's never had a losing season as their coach, but if it was up to our current owner he would not still be the coach of the Steelers. Let that marinate.

I disliked both. Obvious for Sam why that was, but with Teddy it was entirely on performance. His best season before signing, he threw 14 touchdowns. When Cam had his best year, he ran for more TDs than that. And then I thought the NFL record is 51-52. And he had weapons in Minnesota. Pair that with the contract and I was struggling with my Panthers' fandom.

Hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahaha!

This man said that Cam was never better than Matt Stafford! What are the young kids saying these days? Epic fail, face palm, Kap, and whatever else to express the unwarranted hating. Man, Matt Stafford has never won a playoff game nor appeared in as many as Cam. And he had a first ballot HOF WR for a lot of those years. You are showing your lack of football knowledge or outright bias. Which is it?

Mmmmmhhhmmm! When I saw how long it took Tom Flores to get in after he won a championship as a player and coach, I was like it is over for Cam. All that man's accolades and he didn't get in until he was of age where they had to wheel him on to the stage for his jacket.

I feel like they decided to stop the whole culture of that team. They were dancing after scores, taking team photos at the end of games, handing balls out to fans, talking much sh*t on the field, and being in your face about it. It was like the Miami Hurricanes' highlights on The U 30 for 30. Even Kuechly, Olsen, Davis, Kalil, Tolbert, and the veterans were down for the in your face party. I remember all these kids in college kids doing Cam's celebration, all the excitement of Sunday Giveaway, and all the commercials. I like you feel the league was like man hell no! We got to shut this down. First the Supa Bowl and then who rematches the Supa Bowl week 1 of the following year?1? Then they let them try to concuss Cam all season! And now here we are five years later and that entire era of Panther football is erased. And the Panther social media, Sports television, nobody acknowledges that the era existed. They never show Cam, Luke, G-Reg, or any of that team's highlights on Panther social media. They act like Lamar Jackson is the first QB to run the football since Vick on any broadcast where he plays. And one more thing! Now we have to watch all the damn teams give away balls, celebrate as a team after every turnover in the endzone, and do in your face TD celebrations.

I have heard die-hard fans of other teams say they have never understood the disrespect or seen it on this scale before. I wanted somebody on the set to be like man what are you taking about Terry?!?
-
Hahahahahahahahahahahahha! I know, but that shite gets to me when its week after week, season after season.
-
I'd like to hear it. And Sam is not as good as Jake or Kerry either. But we know who this was for.

Terry Bradshaw is insane. That is all. Well maybe a little more. I like the quote below and wish these talking heads would really think before saying some of the nonsensical shite they spew every Sunday broadcast on Fox and daily on ESPN! "Less hot takes. More educated ones please". Also, get that senile old bitch off television!

100 percent for real! See below. Yes, he went on television last year and said "I hate Cam Newton, I hate Baker Mayfield" and nobody batted an eye. They even asked him for his second half analysis of a game with Cam Newton in it and he went through Cleveland highlights! He is on there stammering and stuttering his nonsense out. I can't stand those guys like him, because they were eccentric back then. Now they are straight edged and so far removed from the current realities these players face daily.

Rapoport believes Watson will be traded before the deadline

Yeah, all those people that walked out of Netflix last week. They were thinking something about society being different now too. -
Rapoport believes Watson will be traded before the deadline

I'm sorry you guys feel this way, but Roethlisberger sexually assaulted two women and if that is too extreme a comparison, Peyton Manning pulled out his penis on a trainer at Tennessee. Rabid NFL fans don't care. As a therapist, I know what sexual trauma looks like for victims and this is sad, but dudes fans will not care. And players don't care because if you are squeaky clean like Cam, a rumored cheater like Brady, a rumored killer like R. Lewis, a knuckle head like Jameis, or a dog fighter like Vick; no one gives a sh*t because they have seen worse, want the stats, want to get paid, know it don't last forever, and want to win. I have heard fans defend all types of off field behavior. They don't care. Don't believe me, proof is in the pudding on the post below. -

RumHam! Get out of my head! -
This right here made my work day! I thank you both!

Just think. Terry Bradshaw said that we had our franchise QB and the best QB in our franchise history in Darnold. Somebody get that senile old bitch off TV!

Last year with the same playcaller, the offense looked better. Last year with less weapons, the offense looked better. Players are open consistently just as Ian Thomas was on the interception inside the five to James Bradberry of all people. It is a hundred percent on Darnold. I watched him playing for the Jets and he goes through his progressions slow and releases slow just like he is doing now. He is inaccurate deep, and inaccurate short. I would have rather gotten Trubisky off the scrap heap and kept our draft picks. I say that because both of them gave the line that it feels so good to be somewhere you are wanted. Front office panicked plain and simple. This is what happens when you panic.
-
Then why would you try to downplay his running skills and escapability? Was it for the sole purpose of this thread? I like to win debates too, but c'mon Shelly.
-
If you don't know what you're talking about just say so. Otherwise, being a Panthers' fan I don't see how you can even utter such nonsense. Seriously, keep coming back at these chumps sounding like ten year old super fans. Because that would have to be the age one is now to not remember Cam Newton enough to make mentally defective posts like the one above. Got to let them know that flies on the Facebook posts but not on the Panthers' board. Even if the rest of these football analysts on here allow it.

Who’s the best head coach in Carolina Panthers history?
NorthTryon replied to Carl Spackler's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Rivera due to being the two time coach of the year. He just needed a better GMs. We went several years without getting anything but one maybe two players out of seven rounds. How are you supposed to build a consistent winner with inconsistent drafts and free agency periods? Brandon Beane should've been our GM after Gettleman. -
Hahahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahahhahahaha! Narrator: Where have we seen this shirt before? Guy with shirt on checking out holding the exact same shirt he has on: "Ah I'm gonna get it anyways".
-
Yeah he had the option, but Dennis Schroeder could have signed with the Lakers last season for $80 mil, bet on himself and got $4mil. I would have gotten paid too and been riding high. But maybe now he is starting to see the same old inconsistent Darnold. Hence him flipping out last weekend and the lackluster effort mentally yesterday. I mean his attitude seemed better when we were winning.
-
If I got away from the Jets, Darnold, and the rest of that dumpster fire, I'd be a little dejected for my new team to sign up for the same terrible QB play. He did seemingly have a better attitude last year, but unlike super fans I don't try and guess everything from a player's emotions the three or four times the camera lands on them a game. Think about this though. Imagine those years in New York. He's getting catches, touches, and yards, but he knows they aren't winning. Then you get a new fresh start for a year. Then that QB shows up and starts doing the same thing. On top of that, your team is tied to him for the duration of your deal. I'd be out right pouting cause most careers aren't long.
-
I almost started a thread on this, but with everyone's emotions running high I know it would get hijacked. I believe they are clearly dumbing down this offense to try and keep it simple for Darnold. The route combinations and reads are elementary with an available checkdown in the middle of the field. Dude is still struggling, but no one says certain QBs have trouble processing information or reading defenses and the offense has to be dumbed down. It has been made apparent since Day 1 that Darnold is being spoon fed. Every week, the announcers start the telecast off with "Rhule told Darnold just worry about playing football". He is being handled with kid gloves and still can't get the job done. This offense did not look this stagnant last year and I am not a Bridgewater fan.
