BREAKING!!: Panthers will go after Ben Johnson
Cavscout replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Meh. Personally I think Slowik of Houston or Brian Johnson of Phily have offenses more geared to Bryce's strengths. -
I think there is more to see here than you may think. He never mentions Scott Fitterer by name at all and Fitt wasn't even present. Anyone else find it odd that the GM wasn't at his bosses press conference. Can we assume he may be fired at seasons end? I hope so. I would love to see us get Slowik as HC paired with Adam Peters as GM.

Reporters asked poor questions

Maybe the Panthers most exciting television event all year
-
It's all primarily his fault.

Playing devils advocate... how can you evaluate a head coach or OC given this team's lack of talent across the board but especially oline and wr. That being said... fire everyone after the season.
-
I guess Tepper is better at something than anyone else: LOSING

OL PFFs grades are out. *Warning for the weak stomach*

Zavala shouldn't be in the NFL, or CFL, or XFL. Dude is REALLY bad! -
Analytics will do that to your teams talent level. It took the Browns nearly a decade to figure that out and for Haslem to get over his ego and get rid of that dept

They can fire who they want...won't change the fact that this team lacks talent
-
This game isn't even going to be close, like entering a donkey(Tepper) in the Kentucky Derby. Bet the Cowboys at -11 and at least make some money off of it.

The issue is about talent, the offense lacks it. Doesn't matter who calls the plays, you can't squeeze blood from a turnip.

Albert Breer: both Reich and Fitterer back in ‘24
Cavscout replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
As wealthy as Tepper is, he's also cheap. He will be paying Rhule for years, I doubt he wants to pay Reich not to coach also. -
As long as Tepper is using analytics to draft players, the roster will be void of talent such as is now
-
I used to think that Tepper was a smart man, but if he is too stubborn to see that he, himself is the largest part of the problem with this organization, he is just a grill cook that got lucky with some stocks and is a loser to the highest degree.
-
It doesn't matter who gets fired or hired. The one constant through this team getting worse every year has been Tepper himself. Until he removes his influence from the operations and lets football people make the football decisions...the Panthers are destined for failure year after year. David Tepper is a Failure at Football.

Thomas Brown

Thomas Brown is calling plays...
-
Thomas Brown's offense only needs 11 more points to get to his average of 14...

Thomas brown playcalling is trash

Damn...not the one I had hope of leaving

The Bears have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL
Cavscout replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Doesn't matter. With this talent-poor roster created by Tepper's Data-centric analytics model, we are doomed until he sells or lets football people make football decisions. -
Bears 35-14

Chris Canty buries Tepper on the radio this morning
Cavscout replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
I believe that one of the main issues with Tepper running this organization have to do with his use of analytics and using them to possibly select players in the draft since this roster is so void of talent. My belief comes from an article in 2019 published in the Riot Report. Here is a quote from that article: "For plenty in the football world, the Panthers’ approach will be an exciting one with the potential to move the game forward as the 2010s turn to the 2020s. Not everyone, however, will share that sort of enthusiasm. And many of the concerns about an analytics-driven league are very sound ones. In 2016, the Cleveland Browns implemented a radical analytics-based approach under executive Sashi Brown, which resulted in a 32 game stretch that saw the Browns win just one game and go 0-16 in 2017, while yielding a talent-rich – if underachieving – roster in 2019. While that may be an extreme example, there’s plenty to be said about the limits of analytics. Statistics, after all, can’t make a tackle in the open field. Regardless of which side of the fence one lies on, the Carolina Panthers are about to become one of the most important teams in football. Should David Tepper’s vision work, and a data-centric approach yield an age of greatness, the Panthers will become the envy of an entire industry and a model franchise to be emulated. If it doesn’t, the Panthers will become just one more cautionary tale of the limits of analytics – and their fans will rue the day their team ever parted ways with Ron Rivera."
