Got any good NC ghost stories/urban legends?

An anthology I'm trying for is centered around that prompt.  I'd choose the other state, but Fat Ass living there makes Louisiana conceptually repugnant to me.  I'm looking for something honestly scary I think; the one concentrated website I've found dedicated to such things is more weird tales and ghost stories, so, if anyone has something better to offer, I'm all eyes.

Not to sure about ghost but I bet there's pirate ghost stories told around the outter banks

As for urban legends

Supposedly the best recent footage of bigfoot was captured in the Uwharrie Forrest.

Ummm.. theres also that "beast" that has been killing livestock around nc farms. I think its called the vampire beast.

Been there. Have a friend living in Beaufort and I spent an entire night in the cemetery close to Blackbeard's home drinking tequila, reading headstones and waiting for something/anything to happen. There were four of us and I can honestly say none of us were the slightest bit creeped....

Dude go to the old abandoned Brian Center in Lexington. I promise you, it is the scariest place in NC. Do some research on it. Even the old narrow dirt road through the woods to get to it is scary. There is satanic rituals all the time there and it has been known to  have a serial killer stay in it. I go out with a bunch of paranormal loving people to places like this and when we got there we all got sick to our stomach. I was the only to get out of the vehicle and go in the place. I didn't stay in there long.  Also the Old Davis Hospital in Statesville is incredible. I have a paranormal investigation crew called White Crow. I can tell you a lot of other awesome places and legends if you need help

    • This won't be a trap game for them. I worry more for the next time we face Atlanta. That's a death trap game if we aren't careful.
    • Luckily, we've got more games ahead to watch and see what happens. Maybe he keeps growing his game, maybe we see that he's topped out when we hit stiffer competition. Or maybe he flames out against a team he should well be able to beat like the Jets this weekend. I really can't tell where all of this will end. I can say, though, there's no reason to hit the kid at the moment. Let him roll for as long as he can.  Heck, Sam Darnold is setting the league on fire right now, along with Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones. Examples of guys mired in bad coaching on bad teams (sometimes our own) that hit their stride just as a team did. Maybe we're about to get lucky.  I do know one thing. The biggest change in a winning Bryce and a losing Bryce is that when he plays fearlessly, he is a hell of a competitor. When he gets scared, and he has so many times, it all just falls apart for him and no team can save him. Bravery makes the difference and it comes from believing in not just himself, but his line, his receivers, his running back and the play calling. Just like most young QBs. And quite a few of the old ones. Rodgers couldn't make it in the chaos of the Jets situation. He can in Pittsburgh, so it seems.
    • That’s what I thought too. Maybe I interpreted it wrong. I was considering maybe taking a last minute trip but I think I’ll pass
