Who are your main targets at 28?

Recommended Posts

For me in order.....

1.Cyrus Kouandjio

2.Allen Robinson

2A. Marqise Lee

3.Kyle Fuller

Since I listed 3 positions to be fair I'll state who I already think is off the board at those positions.

Tackle- Robinson, Matthews, Lewan, Martin

WR- Watkins,Evans, Beckham

CB - Dennard, Gilbert, Roby, Verrett

Only thing is I feel a little trepadation putting Allen Robinson so high, when many pundits think he's a day 2 prospect. Also I went against the grain and did not list Cooks as off the board, despite many pundits believing he will be gone. I just don't like that guy nearly as much as the masses.

I don't really have a hierarchy, but among the guys generally expected to be available I'd be happy with Morgan Moses, Allen Robinson, Cyrus Kouandjio or Joel Bitonio.  Would rather it not be a guy like Ryan Shazier but if he's the BPA, I'll take him.  Ditto Jason Verrett.  Not a big fan of Kelvin Benjamin either.

Mind you, there's always the possibility of someone dropping.

There's enough talent in this draft and we have enough positions of need, I'm just going to settle back and trust Gettleman.

I think we all trust Gettleman. This thread is more a fun exercise who have been obsessing over the draft and doing on their own self scouting.

As weird as this may sound but in some cases I value the opinion of some on this board over the pundits. Many of the draft experts watch 1-3 games on over 150 prospects instead of honing in on specific targets that fit the panthers and most of them don't have a firm grasp on our current roster.

All I know is that I am sick to death of thinking about it.

I have several guys I really like, and would be tickled pink if we got any of them.

Some -- legitimately possible -- guys that I would love at 28 (in no particular order since it seems to always be changing):

Brandin Cooks

Allen Robinson

Marqise Lee

Odell Beckham

Kyle Fuller

Jason Verrett

Deone Bucannon

Cyrus Kouandjio (if his knee checks out)

Ryan Shazier (love the player, but would want only if everyone else is gone)

There are other guys I like, but these are probably my top group for 28.

I'm really not dead set for anyone, just give me someone who isn't colossally overrated (Moses), useless to helping this team stay on top (Shazier) or an internet poster (TheRumGone)

At OT I'd be alright with Kouandjio or Bitonio, WR Benjamin, Cooks, Latimer, Lee, and CB has a slew guys I'd be okay with.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
