Gettleman on WFNZ this morning

I see your point?..Stop gossiping, and ask real football questions.

However, I wonder if the Mac Attack, and WFNZ on a whole, feels the Panther fans are Real/Knowledgeable Football fans to begin with (unless it's them)!?

It's them, trust me, it's them. They don't have a clue man.

WFNZ's just wants to get you to dispute. Thats there #1 go to plan for getting ratings. Stir the pot and see who you can piss off. Sorry but I have no time to give to stupid people to try and manipulated me. I dont want to feel combative, Im combative enough. Just talk facts, have some fun, and we'll enjoy. I dont understand what all this WFNZ bullshit is about. Fire the management already, lol, their game plan sucks.

Listening to WFNZ interviews is like being on a deserted island and fapping to nude photos of Rosie O'Donnel that washed ashore in a storm. The only reason you use them to fap is because there is some semblance of tits and ass. You can fap without them sure, but just the site of a nip helps. Mac's interviews = Rosie O'Donnel nip. I'm so hard up for any Panther news that I will listen.

Dammit SCP! Do you know how difficult it is to shake mental images like that? :(

Cotchery runs great routes. If Cam and him can build the same chemistry he had with Big Ben then he should make a big impact. I, for one, am excited he's on the team.

Yes, I'd call it a fluke or outlier when Cotchery catches more TDs in one year than in the past 4 years before that combined. Kinda like when Calvin Johnson only caught 5 TDs or whatever 2 years ago.

That's why I wanted to know if Cotchery is actually a "red zone threat" or if at least a couple of his TDs came off of just a blown coverage assignment or missed tackles etc. If that happens 4 times over the course of a season, his stat line ends up looking a lot better by the end of it. Again, a blown coverage is like that year Johnson only caught 5 TDs, he got tackled inside the 5 yard line several times. I'd call that a fluke...because most of the time he scores in that situation.

Based on what people have said sounds like he might be but not in the traditional sense of a someone like Benjamin.

Forgot to add a few things...... he was asked about why he didn't address offensive tackle in free agency or the draft.

Couldn't afford a Tackle in free agency..no where near enough cap space. Reiterated that no tackle in the draft would have been more ready to go immediately than Bell/Chandler

Was asked about his favorite part of being GM of the panthers.. Said the cliffnotes version is winning. Long story of it is he is a teacher a heart(pronounces heart like "hot")..and loves teaching guys things he's learned.

Totally tunes out media/fans when making decisions. He gathers info from Beane,Gregory,Rivera/Rob Rogers and after digesting that info goes with his gut on the right decisions to make.

I love that gut at the current moment. It's surreal how prophetic is has been these past two years.

8 of Cotchery's 10 TDs came in the red zone

I think a couple of these could be attributed to "flukes" but what I see mostly (albeit with homerism rose colored glasses) is a vet that used his attributes and experience to get open in the red zone and made the most of it.

While Cotchery and Avant bring average production both are technically very sound. If one is of the belief that a WR can help in the development of a QB and young WR you may have two of the best. Both are the" team first" type guys which is pretty rare for WRs.

I noticed in the Panthers.com interviews they spoke mostly gaining respect versus I am better than the next guy garbage that frequently comes from the mouths of WRs.
