Cam ranked smack dab in the middle of QBs according to some league insiders

top dawg

Individual stats only tell part of the story when it comes to team sports.

Surround Cam with a competent line and targets downfield and he'll be one of the most difficult QBs to scheme against in the NFL.

There are likely at least 25 teams in the NFL that would love to have him as their starter right now.

Probably pretty close, I would say, maybe closer to 23.

Brees

Brady

Manning 1

Rivers

Rodgers

Big Ben

Luck

Then you have

Ryan

Manning 2

Wilson

The GM's for those QB's would probably stick to their guy, outside of maybe Manning 2 for next year.  But if you are talking about 5 years....it would probably be.

Rodgers, Cam, Wilson, and Luck leading the pack with only Rodgers as the clear cut.

Exactly. Time is on Cam's side, all signs are he will continue to improve while many of these QB's are in the twilight of their careers.

This poo can't be serious

Oh yes, very serious. He was a 5 star talent out of high school, won 3 national titles in 3 years with 3 different teams in college, had the greatest single season in college football history taking a 5 loss team the years before and after his presence to their only national title since 1957, has the greatest stat line by far for any NFL player in history through 3 years, has improved every year, and has physical skills second to none ("off the graph" as described by Luck(y)'s college coach), and, for good measure, is neighbors with MJ (who also had doubters/haters and didn't win a title his first 7 years with a sub-par supporting cast).

Matty Ice is really overrated. Who are the weapons he's had again?

Oh yeah, I'm sure they're really pissed about that

You know, I don't have a problem with guys that mock the SO CALLED "objective" media.

Personally, I find the self-referential "superior" attitude that mocks the FANS to be much, much worse.

That is a ridiculous statement. It is like some have to degrade Luck to support their argument of Cam. Cam's Body of work speaks for itself. Who cares what what these so called league insiders think?

Why do you care so much about people who care about what these so called league insiders think?

Fans say goofy things.

Writers and journalists write stupid poo.

You'll die on the wall defending one.

But somehow, the other you'll just get up on your high horse and point and laugh.

I just find that kind of amusing.

I can buy that the' stars get the calls', but I seriously doubt professional refs pay attention to internet lists.

? thats not what I meant exactly I guess. Its a collective thing. These lists give you a periodic general look at how people perceive us.

Statements which come from someone making a judgement from the standpoint of a 'high horse'.

Ironic, huh?

Im sorry, I have this weird thing where I use real life stats and logic when forming an opinion. Strange right? But we can all go back to 'magical fairy-tale pretend time' now, where we claim every QB not named Cam Newton is either "terrible" or "overrated".

Ok.... With all their playoff games:

Cam: 1 INT every 30 passes

Luck: 1 INT every 38 passes

Any more math you want me to do for you to help disprove your own point?

Again, if you 14 year old girls took emotion out of it, and decided to research actual facts before you spoke, you would come of much more intelligent and may even be right on occasion

I simply asked you to include the playoffs in your justification rant. I am not sure why you felt attacked. Based on your response you are the poster full of sensitive emotions bashing others. You don't know my stance on Luck or Cam. So get the heck out of here with those little sexist teenage insults.

I think Luck is an outstanding quarterback that has an edge on Cam based on his experience in a pro set, but his years experience is his primary advantage.

My problem with Luck is simple. What has Luck won so far? He is praised by every analyst that has a mic, but what has he won? Luck couldn't even win his own college conference, while Cam led his team to an SEC title and a national championship. O yeah CAM also won the Heisman ahead of Luck when Luck was the preseason favorite. Now they are both in the NFL and neither has done anything to morph the other.

Don't get me wrong I don't hate Luck. He just isn't going to beat out Cam in records that matter.

I believe 15 years from now Cam will have more Super Bowl rings than Luck because Cam has "it".

    • I thought he started to develop good chemistry with Coker over the last half of the season.
    • To put it in perspective, this is a deep ball thrower. Notice how the efficiency basically has minimal drop off regardless of range. This is Bryce Young The other QB is Joe Burrow.
    • It really isn't though If you were to go out to a bar every week of the season, even to just watch one batch of games, i.e. just the 1 pm or just the 4 pm, and spent only $30 a week, you're looking at $540 bucks, $510 if you're just going for the 17 weeks your team is playing, assuming no national games. Also, from past experience, it's hard to spend only 30 bucks if you're at a bar for 3+ hours to watch the game.  Even just a small appetizer, a meal, and say 2 beers was going to run you $40ish, and that was back in 2019 when I used to go to BWW to watch all our games pre the Covid year when I just started finding streams and stuck with that until YouTube got the package from DirecTV. At $450 for a full season, to be able to watch every game, to be able to make your own quad box, to be able to switch between the sound for any game (at a bar in Michigan, I would never get to hear the commentary on our games)... It's really not a bad deal, and that's if you're only watching your team's games.  If you're a fantasy football junkie like myself, then it's a flat out steal, as depending on your TV set up, you can get every game from your fantasy matchup playing.  I do a projector with a quad box on it, a local game on the TV, and then if needed, I can put another game on my laptop and another on my phone.
