NFL mastermind Walterfootball does it again!

May as well post this shitty article and get the huddle shitstorm out of the way. I'm one of the more pessimistic guys on here (preparing myself for another fun and forgettable 7-9 post playoff panthers season), but this is hilarious.

TLDR: Walter Football predicts the Panthers will finish 5-11. How did Walter come to this conclusion?

-FO conspiring against Cam

-Not paying tons of money for SS, Ted Ginn, and Lafail

-Shitty o-line (only thing I completely agree with)

-1 star running back core (including Tolbert)

-Our all star secondary of Captain Munnerlyn, Mike Mitchell, and Quintin Mikell (still a FA) are all gone

-Ron Rivera is a 2 star coach

also, don't give this guy hits.

Unfortunately for the Panthers, they don't really have a decent third linebacker to complement Kuechly and Davis. Chase Blackburn and A.J. Klein didn't play well when given the chance last year.

AJ Klein played great when he was given the chance.

klein drew a facemask from a freaking quarterback which is memorable in and of itself.  he definitely held his own when he saw the field as a rookie to boot.

and yeah i think the writers at walterfootball would rather taser their own balls than write a positive word about the panthers.  even in the middle of the 2013 winning streak they were chugging that haterade.

    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
    • And the Rams, Seattle, Patriots, Green Bay, Jaguars and the Bills who all made the playoffs and in case you forgot, Seattle and the Patriots played in the SB. By any measure, that's pretty brutal.
