Justin Blackmon, not Josh Gordon, is now the dumbest player in the NFL

The league doesn't dare crack down on alcohol-relate offenses because they make so much revenue on alcohol advertisements.  It's what generates that incredible television contract.

Addiction comes in many forms.  If it's something that has the potential to harm you, and you can't stop without serious help--that's my definition of addiction.  Alcohol, heroin, porn, gambling, food, exercise, and yes, weed.

Some are more physically addictive and some are more mentally addictive.

I've never done weed or any other drug except for alcohol. I've seen people that could not stop smoking weed, even after losing jobs, wife, kids, etc.  Same thing with gambling and porn, which are obviously not physically addictive.

Bttt, I was wanting us to draft Blackmon back in the day. Yet another reason you are all glad I'm not the GM.

I mean that is not really true. Blackmon got his season long suspension for alcohol related offenses.

Maybe he just doesn't care about football? We shouldn't condemn a person who would rather smoke weed than have a career in the nfl, just because you wouldn't do the same.

I can't wait for the day talented kids like him don't have to lose their jobs and what they are good at just because of some pot. Decades upon decades of fear mongering by Reagan and Nixon put this irrational fear of a plant we still are feeling the effects of

I hope he gets some help. I grew up around folks who were addicted to alcohol, and let it control their life.  It's a sad sight seeing individuals who literally can't put the bottle down. Also pisses me off when I sit on here and see folks call these individuals stupid or dumb.  They're not stupid, it's just addiction has a hold on them.  You don't know whats happened in their lives, or what they're going through to have made them turn to the drug(s).

    • In a lot of ways it makes sense to just draft a tackle early so they have flexibility with icky's injury and Motons not getting younger. I'd love for them to resign BC cause to me he looks pretty good anywhere they put him
    • Rods the one who needs to go if they don't win a cup soon, Overall I like the way Tulsky operates, do i wish he had pivoted to several smaller moves instead of going all in on a big acquisition? Obviously.   But RBA is the one I'm locked onto, he is too stuck in his ways and if if "his way" can't get somthing done he just triples down and proves his insanity by trying the same stupid crap over and over, the facebook casuals will be like but but but 8 years in a row making the playoffs.... yes we'll guess what we should have at least a cup to show for it, yes only one team wins every year but this year will be the 8th consecutive year making the playoffs.... heck none of us even get excited about that and haven't in four years minimum.  Our top guys are nearing the peak of their prime the time is now, but the canes seem content to stand pat and "make the playoffs" anther 5-8 years in a row.
    • #Panthers TE Tommy Tremble has a $2 million guarantee that is triggered today at 4 p.m. I don’t expect any movement there, fwiw. Tremble is due a $3.67 million base salary this season. He has another $2.4 million in incentives on his deal, per Over the Cap. https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/2032117015121391697?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
