Wow looks like Gamble is not giving smith any slack.

I'm a Chris Gamble fan. I think he deserves "shut down" status. Smitty challenges other players every play. This has made our draftees like Gamble better players. They both were just in the act of being the best at what they do.

Had this been another player on another team Chris might have put more on that. Here's to aggressive football Steve Smith and Chris Gamble style. Here's to you fellas.

Keep your head up Chris...

Get better soon Steve please sit the rest of preseason you have absolutely nothing to prove to us.

I'll bet good money that, as soon as he could, Gamble went to Smith asking if he was okay and Smith clocked him one in the chin saying "Don't puss out on me now. We finally got you hittin' right."

Either that, or the two avoided/were forced to avoid each other all night.

Now that both our offense and defense have been totally devestated by widespread injury, the front office has no choice but to bring in Michael Vick and any person resembling an NFL Defensive Tackle. This is an absolute must. There is no time to waste on rational thought. We should cover our eyes and supress logic with a blanket of panic.

Take a deep breath. It will be alright. If not, only 354 days until the start of next years camp.

Even though it pissed Smitty off, I'm glad Gamble did his part. This shows the difference between Gamble and Lucas. Smitty's gotta respect Gamble, and Gamble is showing he is a legit shutdown corner.... He doesn't just fall back and let Smitty do whatever he wants, and it makes them both better for it.

Glad it wasn't anything serious...

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
