I gotta say I have been quite impressed by him this preseason. Seems more sure handed than I initially thought. 

 

He was the only panther that came to play tonight. Put in some work on Revis. 

 

Dear God, what a shitty game overall though. 

 

- Terrible OL play

- Bad playcalling

- Defense getting worked

- Run game was stuck in reverse

 

Sigh

as ugly as it was, the oline didn't play as bad as it looked. on numerous occasions newton held onto the ball way too freaking long. his refusal to throw it away or use a check down is ridiculous. i'm going to assume they're forcing the issue of developing chemistry between him and the WRs and chalk this up to working out the kinks since it's preseason.

 

as far as run blocking, it is what it is...but there's no way in hell williams can be the bell cow back.

      Hes still a new coach but he needs to be on a steep learning curve to manage this conglomeration of sht...But Kung is right...its a combination of things.

      That was what George called them.  That was his descriptor.  Drop all those if it makes you feel better  The whole convo is highly subjective.  We're not exactly following the scientific method here.  Serviceable was the low bar he set.  He also said star.  I think we can both agree that Steve Young was a star. He didn't ask for any parameters.  He didn't ask for any context.  If he did, I would have answered differently.  I don't think anyone would argue all of those players had rocky starts to their career which they overcame.
