Greg Hardy's trial might not happen until next year

Destroying his own football career. I'll withdraw that poo, take that 6 and get back to playing football. It's sad it turned out this way but no way I'll sit a whole season and then some for a domestic case. This ain't murder we talking here. No Carruth poo. I just made a thread on this. If hardy come back and play up to level somebody will sign him in the off-season. We may just be able to offer less bc of this just sayin

I don't understand why after 6 games of sitting and with knowledge Greg's trial isn't until 2015 he wouldn't suit up. I call shenanigans on the media if they lash out, the guy would've served the equivalent of a six game suspension. Guys like Donte Stallworth and Ray Lewis played after killing a person. It feels like the media wants Hardy to never suit up again.

I don't think he should have to sit out over a year of his nfl career.  I think that after 6 games of sitting out, he should be allowed back on the field as per the NFL rules.

Exactly and I agree.  At this point just have him sit out his six games and let him back on the field, or come out again and change your policy.

I think the NFL will want to suspend Hardy without pay as punishment. He's being paid while exempt, which I think will not be considered as his punishment. So we're looking at exemption until the end of the trial, which would be the rest of this season, including the playoffs. Then a suspension next season while he's not under contract with anyone, and the length of the suspension will be determined by the outcome of the trial.

So Hardy will certainly not see the field this season, and the odds are good that he won't see the field next season either. It's over. Hardy is a fool, and if he's guilty then his career is over. If he's innocent, then he might be back in 2016.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
