Game predictions: Which will be the last team standing...Panthers or Ravens?

Time to look into the crystal ball and get opinions on which team which show up this week. Will It be the team that went 12 ~ 4 last year or the team that got rolled over last weekend. Can they refocus and regroup to get the job done against a team that beat Pittsburgh by 20 points? Can they find a running game? Can they tighten up the defense that forgot that they had a game to play last Sunday night? Time to slap the cobwebs out of their collective brains and get back on the winning track. Notice not a mention of Steve Smith. This game needs to be about beating the Ravens and not make it about him. What do the fabled huddlers believe will be the storyline at around 4 pm Sunday afternoon.....thumbs up or thumbs down?

We will win.

Stop the run, avoid PI on their deep shots, and take care of the ball we win this thing.

Their pass rush is struggling and their secondary is beat up. Cincy and Cleveland moved the ball at will but had to settle for field goals. We have to finish drives.

I think we are the better team. But then again I always think that

If we move the ball first half and score points instead of settling for FG's, we win

If we move the ball first half and settle for FG''s, we lose

If neither team move that well in a defensive struggle and FG's here and there. I give us about a 55% chance of winning

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
