Official Panthers - Ravens Gameday Thread

Running an ultra-conservative offense ala the Seahawks,  Panthers of last season,  49ers...  an offense built around just not turning the ball over and hoping the defense can keep the score low.

We need to start running an offense we ran in '11 and '12. ...  may still not win many games,  but at least there won't be these very lopsided blowouts... like last week and this week....    Score will be high for both teams,  even if we do lose.

Some fluky stuff aided Ravens lead. Panther fans can't give up yet.

Just gotta get some breaks in the second half.

A couple of the TDs were flukey, but there was nothing flukey about the way the defense was getting gashed on every play before that. If they didn't score on flukes they would've scored on legit plays the next snap anyways.

On a good note. Kelvin is the man! Another TD. Looking good KB. Looking good. There I was able to say something positive.

Yep him and Cam are the only positives. A couple of Cam's throws when he was given time just once again proves he can make ANY throw when given time. The one to Cotchery along the sideline... Like wow

    • The third is about where I see him and would take him. I’m not using any of our 1st two picks on a QB. I want the panthers to focus on building up the def or bringing in a playmaker with those picks
    • Russ worked.  I still vote Doug Flutie as a competent, sometimes really good starter when he came back from the CFL - and I maintain, I think he could’ve been that without going to the CFL, part of why he didn’t was because of the stigma the NFL has against smaller QBs to begin with.  But, both Flutie and Russ had above average to excellent athletic traits - be it arm strength, strength, elusiveness, etc.  and Kyler could’ve been right up there with him if he cared about football as much as he does Call of Duty and streaming.     the difference between those guys and Bryce?  Again, Bryce has almost zero desirable athletic traits you would want in an NFL QB.  He is below average in every category. And then to boot, as you said, if you’re below average in EVERYTHING physical, you HAVE to be damn near the best mentally and processing - and he proved to be even subpar in that category.  All of that to say, I will NEVER understand what anyone in our organization saw in him to not only draft him, but to trade up to do so and then give him 3 whole years to stink it up.
