As long as Byron Bell continues to start?

Obviously he wouldn't, but it makes me wonder. We routinely hear every offseason off players riding off into the sunset in the midst of their prime because they have to think of their future. Our very own Jordan Gross did it this past year. It makes me wonder if a player would be in the right do such a thing given what Cam is facing this season. The front office failed him horribly, and I don't know that I have ever seen a player as outmatched by the opposition as Byron Bell is on a weekly basis.

Again, I don't think that he would-but I've reached a point where I feel sorry for him as a man and can't help but wonder if he'd be in the right to look out for his long term health. Byron Bell had no business being appointed the guy, and it was apparent to everyone but the front office who were enamored with Bell's get rowdy chants and aw shucks blue collar attitude-but those things don't win football games.

So my only question is, do you feel he'd be justified?

Absolutely not. Bell is complete garbage, don't get me wrong, but you have certain expectations as a starting QB. You have to keep on trucking no matter how bad the FO tries to fug you.

 

With that said, I wouldn't blame him if he said fug it and left after his contract was up.

i would respect cam more if he left. its year 4 and he has darrin reaves behind him and byron bbell protecting his life.

I had always thought the idea of him leaving was ridiculous.

But Im starting to believe its possible. Our team is more concerned with handing out freebies to good ole boys like Byron Bell than with going after what really matters- talent.

Its hard to believe the ultra competitve Cam wouldnt have a problem with that.

No, but he'd be in the right if he told the medical staff that he's simply too beat up to play. He's getting years beaten off of his career by our failure to put an OL in front of him.

still a lot of season left, anything can happen...but if the season ended today, other than having KB, i see absolutely no reason why cam would resign here. that sucks so bad
