How do you feel as a Panthers fan if John Fox and the Broncos win the superbowl?

Would be very happy for Denver, its fans and Peyton ... especially after last years beat-down.  For Fox ... indifferent.  It's Peyton's team.  The only way Fox gets publicity is if they come unprepared again and get slaughtered.  It would almost be more of an achievement for Fox to screw that team up.  They are loaded.  When you look at their offense vs Panthers, the only Panther that would start is Kalil, maybe KB.

The years of poor contracts, personnel decisions and inability to have consecutive winning seasons does raise a flag about the front office.  I think the Panthers put more value on hard work and loyalty than football intelligence (ie. Hurney).  The GM needs to be the mastermind that creates the winning roster by spending $$ wisely, having a mix of young and veteran players and not leaving holes that other teams can exploit.  Our O Coordinator needs to be aggressive, creative and cerebral enough to leverage the teams strengths while exploiting the opponent's weakness.  I can't remember when we have had either of these.

people act like every year was 2010 in terms of personnel management when fox was here for some reason.

remember 2006?  bringing in kemoeatu, hartwig, keyshawn johnson, etc?  super bowl champs on paper and preseason #1 in all the power rankings?  then 8-8 thanks to a bunch of mental lapses (which is coaching) and piss poor game management/playcalling (that stupid ass gamble lateral against the vikings was a called play).  we had a 2013 seahawks type defense on paper until the falcons came in week 1 and made us look like a college team.  i also don't think it's a coincidence that the offense looked exactly the same every year no matter who the coordinator was.

overvaluing tenure and all that crap is a fox hallmark anyway.  how many times did players like deangelo williams and charles johnson ride the bench because "established veterans" like tyler brayton and deshaun foster had locked up the starting jobs?

John Fox likes defense, but he's not stupid.  He has Manning, so he runs a wide-open offense.  If he didn't have Manning, he would be grinding it out with a strong running game and the same defense he already has.  And if he was in Carolina, he would be running Newton in the read option regularly, playing to his strengths just like he played to the strengths of the team he was given the entire time he was here.  Anyone remember him unveiling the wildcat against Atlanta?  That's an overly-conservative coach?

The guy said less than Belichick in interviews, and frustrated the hell out of us with the bend-don't-break crap.  But he's a great coach, and made the Panthers relevant for years.  Until his last two years, when he was hamstrung by upper management, he had led the Panthers to more wins than all but three other franchises.  But he was always just good enough to miss on the superstars in the draft, and never good enough to win it all.  From all reports his players loved him, and so did reporters when the microphones and notepads weren't around.

I like Rivera, but I'm still a Fox fan too.  I hope both of them collect a few rings before they retire.  And I really think Peyton needs one or two more too; Eli having more than his big brother is just wrong.

My 0.2

John Fox has always been a great coach, the team was just going in a different direction. I knew Fox would go find success elsewhere just like he did here for many years, both parties made the right choice. Could you imagine Newton under Fox? Wouldn't of worked, actually I highly doubt we would've drafted a Newton. There is literally no QB better suited for a John Fox team than Peyton Manning and none worse than Cam Newton. I wish Fox the best of luck.
