How about Harper as the 4th linebacker? For a safety, he is slow, but as a LB, he will be great. He is great against the run. He'll have to only worry about covering TEs in the passing game. He will fugg some people up with his hits too

If we were thinking about changing to  a 3-4 defense as opposed to a 4-3, we probably should have emplemented it in training camp and preseason.In my opinion,it is to late in the season to start making this type of  major defensive  change,

Entire off season? Yes but new coaching staff? No. Remember, Rivera ran a 3-4 D in SD and and Steve Wilks was under Rivera there too. Not out of relm of possibility.

Yeah good point. I didn't mean a head coaching change as much as I did new D coaches. But that's got me thinking. Did McDermott/Jim Johnson run a 3-4 in Philly?

Sadly it's not like flipping a light switch.

It's more like converting an engine from manual transmission to automatic. It seems like they're similar, but the moving pieces are very different. And if you want to do that anyway, you're better off buying a new car.
