Our Coach Next Year should be Jimbo Fisher

Why didn't I think of this before?  This guy would be absolutely perfect to be our HC next year.  He's helped both LSU and Florida State win national championships (being the HC of the latter), and he could win another one this year.  He's an offensive minded guy, and he runs primarily pro formations.  None of that read option gar-bage.  Also on his resume, is helping JaMarcus Russell be a number one overall draft pick.  If you can do that for Russell, you sir are an offensive genius!

Stating some more of the obvious, KB would fit right into his system, and Cam will flourish with the rushing attack his offense brings.  So D-Will and Stew will be relieved to see the blocking fullback....back.  Olsen would bring an added dimension to Fisher's offense however.  I don't believe Florida State sport a good tight end that can catch the ball.  So that would be interesting.  All in all, Jimbo is the perfect coach for us. (Gettlemen would love him, as he wouldn't demand too much control over the players they bring in during the off season.)

I never thought it was possible. I was always told myself, "Ruff, there's no way it could happen. Hell would freeze over before it did". I thought that I would have a better chance of winning the lottery before it happened... But it has happened.

Matthias has made his most idiotic post yet.

I don't want any college coach. The pros are an entirely different animal than college, and you don't get to start off with a head start via money/scholarships/name recognition/recruitment area. Not to mention the vast difference in schematic complexity and preparation.

Really? The recent guys coming up from college have been fairing pretty damn well. Jim Harbaugh had immediate success, Chip Kelly's Eagles are doing pretty well, and Pete Carroll won the Super Bowl past year.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
