Remember when in the second round, there was NO talent as good as what is on our team?

When apparently Nate Chandler, Byron Bell were every bit as good if not better than somebody like a Morgan Moses.

What in the world did they see that made them think Byron could help this team win a few games, let alone a super bowl? My gosh the incompetence by David and Ron.

He's backing up a right tackle in Washington who has given up more sacks than bell and chandler coming into tonight, so yeah I would say he could. I guess if you just remember a guys name from a mock draft 7 months ago that automatically makes him a better option.

lol, I must be taking crazy pills, did anybody else see tonights game? Do you even understand the point of the post. It doesn't have to be freaking Morgan moses, it could be anybody who isn't our defensive tackle I mean right tackle.

im sorry about your thread and the fact that people want to throw silly things like logic and facts that are interrupting your temper tantrum/epiphany

Prime example: Justin Britt was taken 4 picks after Ealy and is starting at RT for the seahawks. Ask yourself if Nate Chandler would even be on the seahawks practice squad. Gettleman was an idiot for trusting these tackles. He had two seasons worth of film on Bell sucking over on the right side and he knew Chandler wasn't very good last season and only played because literally everyone else got injured and yet he still elevated them to starting tackles. But I guess this is one of the reasons the seahawks won the super bowl and we look like the worst team in the league right now.

Ealy will be moved to offensive tackle soon enough since he is a waste on the DL.

Screw best available player in the draft when you are horrible at finding talent to begin with.

Should have just loaded up on the deepest talent positions in the draft that fit the Panthers needs like many fans wanted.

Kelvin Benjamin WR, Allen Robinson WR, Martavis Bryant WR, Corey Linsley OG, Zach Fulton OG, Seantrel Henderson OT, and James Hurst OT.

Ealy and Turner were not top 3 round talent. Bene, Boston, and Gaffney were not more important than OL depth and potential starters. This entire draft needed to be dedicated to loading up around Cam, Olsen, Stewart, Williams, and Tolbert. And move Chandler back to OG. That is where he will succeed. Gettleman set this team up for failure. And Rivera has given this team his personality. The head coach was sulking on the sidelines almost all game.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
