The first thing I do is sit DeAngelo down on his sorry butt.  From the complete whiff on his blocking that gets Cam killed to him getting no push or dancing in the backfield before he cuts it for no gain.

It not just that D-Lo is playing badly and this is coming from a huge D-lo fan but Stewart is straight up dragging players and running over people.  He's getting yards where there are none.  He's running with great power.  To my untrained eyes it's night and day when Stewart is in there.

I've always hated this dual running back crap.  A RB needs to get in a rhythm.  Yes, you need to spell your starter to keep him from getting too tired but one RB should be getting 75% or more of the carries.

Next, we don't have a choice but to do some drastic things with the O-line.  My starters are Bell,Ameni,Kalil,Turner, and Norwell.  I have no idea if Norwell can play RT but I do know he is mean and can run block really well.  That's great since my new game plan is to run Stewart into the ground.

Run, run, run and run some more.

Unless we're getting long drawn out scoring drives we've got to start taking a lot more chances on defense.   Show us some Jim Johnson blitzing on every other play.  We've got to get pressure on the QB.  We've already seen what happens in the end when we don't.

I'd rather die by the blitz than getting picked apart.

Made me sick watching DeAngelo start that game Monday night. What has he done to warrant getting the nod over Stewart? Jonathan has been running hard and actually moving the chains/picking up yardage after contact all season long while DeAngelo has done the opposite. Stewart has the ability to pound a defense and wear them out over the course of a game.

The worst part?

Watching DeAngelo trip and get tackled by his own linemen and being the back of choice on a crucial 3rd and short. Does this coaching staff even know the strengths of their personnel? It's clear as day that Stewart needs to be the workhorse from here on out and that he is far better in short yardage situations.

Can you believe we don't have a single back or QB on pace for over 500 rushing yards? That's so freaking pathetic for being the base of our offense.  These coaches are delusional with the personel they have.

Is Jim Skipper the one rotating them? That is my belief.

2011- No Skipper, 28 played a higher % of snaps than any RB in the NFCS

2012- Williams officially benched. Stewart was given the job. Then he got hurt.

2013-2014 - Skipper returns. Williams the slightly favored RB even when both are healthy and 28 is more consistent.

So under the Rivera era. When the RBs have been healthy, Williams only has legitimately gotten the most work with Jim Skipper back on staff.

How shitty must Stephen Hill have gotten, to not even be able to get activated from the practice squad with this group of WRs

This dude was a starter last year, and had some flashes. 6'4", 215 lbs, ran a 4.30 and a 4.36 at the combine 2 years ago. I thought this guy was gonna be a steal!

I wish we knew what Proehl knows about him. At this point why not send him streaking down the field? He must really suck to not crack this lineup.

I disappoint

I rather have Stephen Hill streaking down the sideline on a go route wide open with a 50% chance to catch a wide open bomb than Cotchery being locked down. I don't care how bad he looks it can't be worse than what we saw Monday from Cotchery. Cotchery doesn't have speed and he can't jump.

Bersin gets better separation on routes than Avant and Cotchery too.

I just hope he starts holding on to the ball.

    • Baker was traded before he played his 5th year.  RGIII was cut before playing his 5th year. So it is rare but it happens.
    • Time to hit 4000 yards and 30 TDs (including rushing). I don't care about INTs anymore. That's a big part of the problem. He plays uber conservative until the game is on the line. Playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. Time to let it friggin rip from the get. The team can win with a pick or 2 if he has 3-4 TDs. Stop playing scared.  But to be fair, his WRs have not been great. You all can bash about 1st round picks and O-line cap all you want.  Chuba as your #1 RB his entire career.  Adam Thielen as your best WR for 2 of 3 seasons is ridiculous. Then a rookie as your best in the 3rd season. Legette is not a 1st round talent. Probably closer to a 4th if you compare him to Brazzel this year. Coker has been a walking injury report. Nothing else to really speak of at WR or TE. Jimmy Horn has potential, but he is not an NFL starter yet. Oline has been better as run blockers than pass blockers. Ickey has always been so-so as a pass blocking LT. Center has been a revolving door for 3 years. Damien Lewis has been as marketed. Hunt is a great run blocker but an ok pass blocker - when healthy. Moton has been solid at RT. Biggest problem with the oline has been depth. When someone went down, their replacement became a glaring weakness. Overall a good but not great unit the last 2 years. 2023 was a ish show. Nothing else to say.  Not one game breaker, take it to the house offensive weapon since DJ Moore. Hopefully we get a little of that from Brazzell.  Either way, in his 4th season, it doesn't matter. You have to be able to overcome whatever comes your way. First 3 seasons with a young supporting cast is defendable. Can't use that anymore though. 3rd year in the offense. 3rd year with the same HC.
    • Highest amount of OL salary cap in the league too. The Chiefs are behind us at 2 but we are ahead of them by a cool $23 million. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/position/offensive-line/_/year/2026/table/active/sort/cap_total
