Official Panthers - Falcons Gameday Thread

Loss is on the offense as a whole. Bad play calls by the OC and horrible execution by the qb and the wide receivers for 3/4's of the game, only to get it going at the end ends up losing a lot of games.

Exactly.

The offense plays well 25% of the game and all of the idiots blame everyone else.

We have all the momentum, are moving the ball right down the field, then our FUGGIN WORTHLESS INBRED COACH decides to take the air out of the ball when we just barely get within FG range because he is the dumbest piece of poo ever to set foot on a GD NFL field.  Even if we had made the hail mary FG, we all know that they would have come back down the field and beat us anyway.  Why do novices no fuggin bodies like us know this but our HC doesn't?

I wish I could pie you 18 times.

Cam sucked complete ass for over three quarters...and the usual fanboys blame a loss on everyone else.

We only needed 4th quarter heroics because of his shitty play .

Comebacks are not anything new to football or sports in general. Players play bad early then comeback all the time. That 4th quarter was straight up bad coaching. I don't know how you play for a field goal and let matt ryan have a 1:30 left on the clock. Even if Gano didn't miss the field goal, there is almost no doubt in my mind that the falcons would have gotten in field goal range and won the game that way.

Lol everyone is so blinded by their Rivera hate that the logic being used is, well even if Gano made it the Falcons would have gone down and scored anyway.

People are literally relying on hypothetical scenarios that will never be known to support an argument.

So you think the coaching was adequate today? Or any other game this season?

That loss was on Cam's god awful play for over three quarters.

Defense have the offense chance after chance and they did nothing for 3/4 of the game. Typical inconsistency from Cam and the offense.

But if course you idiots will blame everyone else. Shitty for 75% of the game and good for 25% of the game is NOT makings if a top QB.

And the OL flat out did their job.

Rivera and co. Should not have been playing for the field goal with so much time left. With our sub-par running game, they chose to run. That's what a lot are upset about, Cam was playing pretty good passing that drive.

Well they did get a field goal before that drive, it's not out of the realm of possibility that they would have gotten one again especially with that much time on the clock.

Well Rivera and Shula are always to blame because they never put their team in good positions and Riveras horrible game and clock management is legendarily bad. We'll never be a consistently good team with him at the helm.

Yea Cam deserves blame but even with his and everyone elses struggles it came back to Ron being Ron at the end of another close game.

Ye but when we had 1st down instead of playing to move the chain we run 3 dumb ass run plays ......If we get the 1st down then and we eat the clock out and end with either a TD or FG with 5 secs left

This

Get a first down they use all their TOs and even if they get the ball back they only have 5-10seconds left. And since we don't have nakamura anymore I would like our chances in that scenario

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
