I don't think I've ever seen the fanbase against our HC coach this much (Rivera Poll)

At the end of Capers, Seifert, and Fox we all kind of saw it coming.  Capers and Fox had been successful but ran their course in Charlotte.  Fox was maybe here a season too long but nothing that made us go nuts.  We kinda knew that Clausen team was going to be sh*t and it was his last season.  Seifert was an old retread that was obviously not a fit made apparent after season 3 being 1-15 (where we were competitive), but what we have here with Ron is special.

If you had to make a tally (let me do that right now with a poll), I'm going to guess it's well over 90% of the fan base who want the guy gone. So why am I getting the odd suspicion he isn't going anywhere after this season?  Why do I feel like there will be a crazy uproar about JR/DG not firing him and we will be swindled into another season of Rivera torture?

I just really hope DG can take notice of some of the worst head coaching we've ever seen anywhere.  I mean we have been getting destroyed left and right in games this season.

Ronald seems like a nice guy and I'm not saying I hate him necessarily but good god, I have never seen a coaching staff hold back a team this much.  From Matsko to Brown to Shula to Rivera...just not NFL caliber.

Overall, I just can't believe they never take responsibility.  They never own up to their in-game decisions or anything.  What finally blew the lid for me was this past game...the end result was 90%+ on them.  Sure the team was sh*t in the 1st half but the players turned it around and put us in position to win that game in the second half and "executed".  That sad excuse for play calling and our "strategy" lost us the game with the help of Gano.

The thread with all of this staff's fug ups shows it clear as day and I just fear that we will have to go through this yet another season.

So..poll---Do you want Ron Rivera and his band of Shulanigans gone?

...and I think a proper perspective is to understand that this guy has basically been on the hot seat since 2012 with a nice little 8 game winning streak in the middle of it all.  And I know this is kind of an obvious answer but feel polls like this can reverberate through the interweb and such.  We need this guy to go back to being a great DC again somewhere else and I want it assured dammit!

I am starting to get worried that he'll be here next year.

We need more blowouts. We need bad teams like Minny, Tampa, and Atlanta to dominate us. It's for the best, folks.

McKinnon and Asiata will run over us and we'll trick them into liking Patterson again.

Round 2 in Atlanta could get ugly if we continue to sputter until that last game.

Vikings

Saints

Bucs

Browns

Falcons

We could easily lose all of those.

The difference between Fox, Seifert, Capers and Rivera is one has had a talent at the quarterback position that the others never got close to having at their disposal.

The anger is unprecedented because of how Cam Newton has looked this season in comparison to where he once was. It was Rivera that decided to marginalize his talents by promoting a guy who had no business coaching NFL offenses and decided to stick with offensive linemen who had no business protecting him.

Cam Newton is the best asset this franchise has ever had and since his rookie year there has been a neglect from the organization to keep him healthy and to make sure he can be at his best.

Rivera gets the blame for Richardson, Gettleman and Shula heaped on him because he's the only one who we ever publicly hear from.

After catching lighting in he bottle last year, i feel that success had us fans expecting the same out of Rivera and staff this season. When last seasons success didn't translate to this season, Rivera's weakness and inept approach was exposed, turning us win hungry fans into a "Fire Rivera Fanbase" and rightly so.

I can't speak for all fans, but my fear, and perhaps most others,is that Rivera and a lot of his staff will return in 2115, causing the Panthers team to continue on a downward path, the trend that currently exists.

I am very tired of the Ron Rivera show.

I suspect the team is too.

When you start seeing people like Greg Olsen getting frustrated, and if you ar the owner, you have take notice.

...then again, I'm not  sure JR notices much anymore.

The Ron & Dave show is a low ratings disaster but the fact is ole Dave signed Ron to a 3 year extension in the millions, you know the same guy who thought Bell and Chandler were legitimate tackles and Ron Harper and Cason could still cover someone.

If I were a betting person, come black Monday, ole Ron 'I'm just glad to be here and havent a clue what i'm doing' Rivera will still be here with his cast off of misfit NFL Coaches.

My problem with him is that he is in year four and is still making the mistakes he made in year one.

I don't put full blame on him for this season as I think this roster is pretty much garbage outside of a couple positions (qb, te, lb, and dt).

I'm all for him being shown the door but I fully believe he will be here next year with a new offensive coordinator. (cams third system in five years....smh)

In 3 out of 4 seasons as a HC Ron Rivera and staff has failed point blanked. Ron Rivera has been on the hot seat since forever and unfortunately for a good reason. His game management has been awful since his first season he is now 9-16-1 in games decided by a TD or less. He has the tendency to miss use players in roles that doesn't fit their skill set. When the game is on the line he will go ultra conservative and we all know how that ends. It's sad because he is a DC trying to play the role as a HC. I think 4 seasons is enough to see what kind of coach you have and right now if I was Gettleman and JR I would make the decision and let Rivera go.

    • It puts more pressure on being right, I always feel trading back is the move 97/100 times. There are times where you fall in love and if that guy is only 7 spots away and the cost is only a 6th or pick swap......why not?? so long the cost is low, Im more willing to do so.  Still one of the best teams at trading back and they torn apart the Panthers on those trades; Pats. You still have to pick the players, that's what happens. In theory you should also add picks, but it does get to point of eight 3rd rounders or two late 1st and a 2nd?? I mean every draft is different, so the talent maybe not fall off a cliff after pick 50. Case by case deal, but vastly I prefer to trade back.....another curve if you trade back and the scouts/coaches have not planned for it. You have to be ready and know the spot you are trading too (everyone). Just like trading out of 1st round two weeks before the draft, that hurts your team as they have been focused on pick 10 and now its wait until pick 42....
    • 🏈 Offense QB: Jack Trudeau RB: Derek Loville FB: Howard Griffith WR: Mark Carrier WR: Willie Green TE: Wesley Walls LT: Todd Steussie LG: Matt Elliott 😄 Jeff Christy RG: Lance Scott RT: Blake Brockermeyer 🛡️ Defense DE: Kevin Greene DT: Eric Swann DT: Greg Kragen DE: Frank Kearse OLB: Lamar Lathon MLB: Sam Mills OLB: Michael Barrow CB: Tyrone Poole CB: Richard Buckner S: Brett Maxie S: Chad Cota
    • IDK, just I know these mock drafts are time "wasters" and even more before FA cause that does change a huge portion of the needs. I think Panthers are in on Lloyd, but just like Milton Williams if the numbers get too high they will change course and still sign one of the lesser ILB. I've also seen reports Panthers want boom back as well, but as STer/backup.   Personally Ive put Wallance in the Ickey, Brooks zone....... Acting like he's not on the team and if he shows out during OTAs, mini, and TC GREEEAT!!! I feel Panthers need to sign at least one and draft 1-2....hell even add another Bam-like UDFA in the UD pool too. Trade is on the table, there have been many trades than past years......   Given the team history, the LB corp is saddest ever. Still the league isnt paying ILB and Panthers finally got with that trend. I do feel Evero wants a IBL that can blitz and everyone wants one able to pass cover.  I feel no matter what, Panthers will draft one in the mid rounds and add a couple in the UDFA class.
