report: Jets and Raiders looking to trade for Harbaugh

Per Adam Shefter. Looking to trade in the off season. So everyone hoping to replace Rivera for Harbaugh, its not in the cards. Both teams have made it known that they are interested in a trade and we aren't one of them. Look elsewhere for a new HC (if a change is even being considered).

First, Harbaugh would never want to come here and secondly, JR would never allow it. And that pretty much sums up this franchise!

This.

"JR, have you considered Jim Harbaugh as a coach?"

JR: "Who's that?"

Shoot me in the fuging face.

If we wanted Harbaugh then we should have gone after him when he first left Stanford. Which was also the same year we had the number one pick in the draft. Which more than likely would have had an influence over some potential number one picks on whether to stay in school or not.

lol i still remember the press conference after the 2010 season. JR completely embarrassed himself and didn't know what the fug to do or say to the press. this is where the infamous pie chart picture came up, I believe. the next day, Luck said he was staying in Stanford and Harbaugh joined the 49ers. the huddle poo itself because everyone here thought the Harbaugh/Luck combo was close to a lock all season long.

I love Cam and I stand behind my QB...but Cam with this coaching staff can't get it done. The Harbaugh/Luck combo would have been great - I can only imagine/assume. To think our owner didn't even consider that is where the blame for all of this poo should start.

    • You are right--it was DC.  I remember talking to him at Belk in Albemarle one day--the Panthers were on a bye and they were (at the time) a disapointing 4-4.  I mentioned that the record was disappointing and he seemed to get a bit annoyed.  He dId not say anything.  I trying to suggest that we will get better, but I think he was pretty upset about it.  No hard feelings, but the man was simply trying to shop with his wife and this annoying jerk starts making comments about his job---I get it.  I apologized, telling him that I was trying to be supportive and not critical--he did not think it was a big deal.  I'd see him at events from time to time-he'd wave or say hi, but it was awkward for me.  Figured I would say something stupid.  Jordan was pretty popular--nothing like she seems to be now--she is holding her own in a man's world...proud of her.
    • Like we have had the last 3 years.
    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
