BBR: Safe to Assume Cam Starts Sunday

If Cam's healthy there's no doubt he should be on the field.  People saying Anderson should start for playing reasons are insane.  He almost threw 3 INTs and had one called back for a questionable roughing the passer penalty (honestly that was a gift).  If there's any doubt about his health or injuring his back more seriously, he should sit.  This is a lost season and risking injury to your franchise QB is not worth the chance at this point in the season.

there was absolutely nothing questionable about the roughing the qb call- hands to the face will be called 100% of the time if it is seen

It's easy to forget about those plays. Carolina could have easily lost to Tampa Bay without several things falling their way.

Fact is Carolina was lucky to beat one of the worst teams in the league.

Balls boucning off DB's chests, interceptions called back, fumbles bouncing the right way in the fourth quarter....

And with Cam we got killed by one of the worst teams (Minn)...beat by two of the worst teams (NO and Atlanta)...barely beat another of the worst teams (Chicago)....

So, what is your point?

I think Cam probably gives us the best chance to win if he is ready to go.  However, discounting the win under Anderson the way you did without doing the same to the wins/losses under Cam makes you look like just another homer.

that Anderson played a mediocore game against Tampa Bay and was fortunate to get the win

I'm confident with Cam the margin of victory would have been at least two scores.

probably?

really? lol

Yes...probably.

Given the up and down play this season by everyone (including Cam), I have no idea how he will look.

He may look like he did in NO (outstanding) or in Minn (like a backup at best).

This has just been one of those inconsistent years where anythign is possible.

    • I knew very little about this player before we drafted him. When I read scouting reports about him I understood the pick and thought it made sense as a late round receiver with speed and special teams ability but after watching him more closely and now adding his interviews into the equation I'm actually really excited about him. I know it's just RMC but I noticed him running his routes with this extra step that really stood out to me during the general video posted earlier without realizing who it was doing that.  His speed in his first cut is just on another level and it's visible. When I saw it I was **** whoa, who was that?! Then I saw Horn JR. and my first thought was oh it's him. I think it's very possible that he was under appreciated going into the draft due to his height and stats because he played at Colorado where the attention was on 2 other players but I think this dude's ceiling is way higher than most think it is. Especially after watching his interview. He looks hungry. I may have found my fav rook for this year's pre-season. I like pulling for underdogs anyway and as someone who played on the small side myself it just gives me more reason to cheer for him. The competition at WR looks like it's going to be fierce this season. I honestly can remember any preseason where I looked at out wr group and got past 3 players who I thought were interesting but this season I'm interested in at least 5 who have my attention going into the season.
    • Wilson should be getting called for at least 3 penalties a night even in the post season. How does he not lead the NHL in PM???
