DeAngelo has become borderline annoying on social media.

This fan base is full of a bunch of pricks.

Yeah... shame on DeAngelo for sticking up for himself. He should just admit he sucks and retire.

/sarcasm

Cut the poo and give the guy a chance to run with the same O-Line that Stewart has gotten to run with before writing him off.

I hope your right, with all this talk he may be more determined than ever to prove everybody wrong, which would be a good thing for us. You have to remember that Stew is a different runner than DWill. Stew can be elusive, but if you're in his way, he will just bowl you over. DWill is faster, but more hesitate to hit those holes, his vision recognizing them seem to be worse than years past.

Stew is a different runner than DeAngelo but balance is key. I'd definitely go with a plaoon system because we've seen Stew wear down at different point in a few games this year.

We currently average 30 rush attempts per game, however about 5 if those come from Newton. That leaves us with 25 carries to split between three backs. This might just be me, but here's how I'd split it.

60%- Stew 15 carries

30%- D-Wil- 7 carries

10%- Tolbert- 3 carries (short yardage/goal line)

And my post wasn't intended to be interpreted as me saying D-Will is better than Stewey (because he's not). It was to point out that people are being a real dick to the guy telling him to "stay hurt" or "don't play".

A true Panthers fan wouldn't say those things. Personally, I support the team and everyone on it. I hope others do as well.

And your reasoning for sitting Fozzy for Wlliams, Ron?

Fozzy takes on contact better than 34 and has a youth burst

It is lame to go out of your way to personally insult someone on social media. That makes it personal which is lame.

I find it funny a high profile person would bother responding bc they all get the comments....

Yes, the distraction of my environment somehow distracted me from that very important detail lol. But yes, I do understand that. If he doesn't produce or get in a groove early then sit him. I don't see Dwill getting the majority of the carries anyway.. I just want to see him ball out when he does get his opportunities. I'd like to see him run with vision and explosion, run with purpose.

I don't understand this thinking.

Stewart led the entire league in rushing in December.

Clearly he is in a groove and is on a roll.

Why change?

And if you give Williams an early load like he traditinally gets (game and downs)....and he still stinks.

You can't just take him out. Bc if that holds true it means our O will struggle and fall behind. AZ defense will then do what they did last time to us. They are built to be a nightmare for us if we are behind.....and it forces us away from being able to then implement our 28 gameplan

    • That throw was incredibly special.  But there isn't anyone alive who has ever played QB who thinks that was a smart or practical throw.  Go watch anyone's commentary on it, specifically Steve Young's. You are swapping complete teams' situations, not just the QBs.  What I was saying is if Caleb was here this year with all things the same, and Bryce was in Chicago this year with all things the same, the results of their season would be the same.  But if you think Dave Canales is as good of a coach and play caller as Ben Johnson, PM your Zelle info and I'd like 10 cases of whatever you are drinking.
    • He wouldn't be the same player he was now. He took a year off learning under Kyle Shannahan (who makes literally every QB that plays for him look good besides Trey Lance). Then he got to play with two stacked offenses and great coaching staffs In a weird way I think we would've kept Frank Reich for another year if we kept Darnold, DJ Moore, and our draft picks. Hell maybe Reich isn't even hired in that situation and we kept Wilks or hired a different head coach.  I think keeping Darnold and DJ (and possibly CMC and Burns) would have helped stablize the franchise. But not sure if Darnold would have put us over the edge without the coaches and teams he got to play with after he left Carolina. IMO he would have been more like a bridge QB. Unless we got the right HC to bring these traits out of him.
