Theoretical Super Bowl Question

Ok, this is really random but this thought randomly popped into my head when going to sleep last night. .. Let's say that the Carolina Panthers are in the super bowl this year... Would you rather face the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl XXXVIII rematch and get back at the Pats & Brady or would you rather face the Baltimore Ravens & Steve Smith who has done nothing but trash talk the Carolina Panthers organization since he left, and beat Smitty in the Super Bowl? Idk why I had this thought last night but it interested me to see what you guys think. I for one would like to face the Ravens, I just think it would be a great story & would be nice to stick it to Smith for all the trash talk about the Panthers organization since his release.

Let's go over the various potential storylines:

New England Patriots: Rematch from our first and only Superbowl appearance, plus there that whole "flag pickup" thing last year

Baltimore Ravens: Steve Smith, more Steve Smith, all the Steve Smith

Pittsburgh Steelers: We play them every year in the preseason, Big Cat looks up to their organization, we got crushed earlier in the year

Cincinnati Bengals: We tied earlier. This is the only way this weird ass season should end.

Indianapolis Colts: Luck vs. Newton in a Superbowl. Print the money.

Denver Broncos: John Fox used to do stuff for the Panthers right?

And then of course, the only story line that will be talked about: How badly will [insert AFC team] destroy this losing record team that shouldn't even be in the playoffs, let alone Superbowl?

Get in the SB and beat NE............that would have Smitty eating more crow wishing he was here rather than there....

I'll go one step further............get back to the SB next year and face NE again and beat them again!!!..............................there!!!

How's that for making all you fuggers nervous for the whole season next year.........LOL

    • I'm not sure that in a fair QB competition that Young would beat out Jones.
    • That's why I said stats aside. I lived in CO during Allen's college career and didn't have kids at the time so I watched most of his games. Bruh, I'm telling you. Balls just spraying all over the place. The type of throws where you're honestly trying to figure out who he was even trying to throw that one too. It was crazy. Richardson was inaccurate in college but at least you could tell who he was trying to throw it too. He threw a lot of early in the game Cam Newton type balls where it seemed like he was just a little too amped up and everything was a few feet high. Richardson's misses looked like they were maybe fixable with working on his footwork, release, etc. Josh Allen's misses looked like "ain't no way you're fixin' that poo, dude has a cannon equipped with no sights". LOL Huge props to the Bills for evaluating him as fixable and indeed fixing him.
    • A lot can change over the next week, but here is my best 53-man roster (note: I'm just basing this on guys on the 90 man roster currently). Obviously there could be trades/ waiver claims/ FA signings.   Offense (25) QB (2): Bryce Young, Andy Dalton RB (3): Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle, Trevor Etienne TE (4): Tommy Tremble, JT Sanders, Mitchell Evans, James Mitchell WR (7): Tetoria McMillan, Xavier Legette, Adam Theilen, Jalen Coker, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn, Brycen Tremayne  OL (9): Ikem Ekwonu, Damien Lewis, Austin Corbett, Robert Hunt, Taylor Moton, Cade Mays, Chandler Zavala, Brady Christensen, Yosh Nijman    Defense (25) DL (6): Derrick Brown, Bobby Brown, Ashawn Robinson, Tershawn Wharton, Sam Roberts, Cam Jackson OLB (5): DJ Wonnum, Pat Jones, Nic Scourton, Princely Umanmielen, Thomas Incoom  ILB (5): Trevin Wallace, Christian Rozeboom, Krys Barnes, Jon Rattigen, Claudin Cherelus S (4): Trevon Moehrig, Demani Richardson, Lathan Ransom, Nick Scott  CB (5): Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson, Chau Smith-Wade, Corey Thornton, Shemar Bartholomew    ST (3): LS: JJ Jansen  P: Sam Martin  K: Matthew Wright    Would like to hear everyone's thoughts
