Cardinals fans have interesting score predictions....

They have a rookie qb playing his first playoff game, and he hasn't looked good this year against a defense that has been playing well of late.  And its going to be a wet field.  They will not score 20 without getting some defensive and or special teams scores.  In all likelihood, the game will be a very low scoring affair.

i watched the cardinals/49ers game on rewind yesterday

i'm not altogether convinced that lindley is as horrible as everyone thinks. arizona is going to have him dinking and dunking to keep the pass rush off him. my biggest concern by far is rivera getting badly outcoached by arians.

You have a good point; Arians is by far already a top HC in the NFL. However, there's only so much you can coach if you don't have the talent. Also when that talent is going up against the likes of Star, KK, CJ, Luke & TD.

i watched it a couple times and i noticed quite often he was locking onto receivers and didn't handle pressure well. those are two things that our D is going to be capitalizing on.

i thought this was interesting from the link in the OP

bit of help for your predictions. . . .

When Palmer was starting, the Cardinals were averaging just shy of 25 points a game, with the average score being Arizona 25, Opponents 17

With Stanton starting, the Cardinals averaged just over 17 points a game. . . .and the average score was Arizona 17.3, Other Guys 17.4

With Lindley at the controls, Arizona averaged 11.5 points in the two games he started; those games, if averaged, gave a score of Opponents 27.5, Cardinals 11.5

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
