Here's our free agents

Please let Bell sign somewhere else. We know Ron will be tempted to play him if he's on the team.

This is my fear as well.  I'd like to keep him if it's on the cheap as he'd be a good, versatile backup OT.  But, like you, I fear that Ron would want to actually start him.  We need a new LT, simple as that.

One is 34 the other is 33.  I think it's time to draft one.

Definitely time to draft one but I still think we should try to keep both Dwan and Colin. Will be cheap and fit well with our d-line's chemistry.

That's a great looking list especially considering the we have something like 27mil coming off the books in dead money this off season. We should have the money to make some actual moves and build around a core team that's already solid.

Looking at the NFCS we seem to be putting ourselves in a position to dominate the conference. The have the a chance to run train on the NFCS like the Colts have been doing in the AFCS.

Might just be a good time to be a panthers fan... Finally

We actually don't have much when you factor in resigning our free agents (whom are much needed depth), cam's contract and luke's contract as well as draft picks. We will also cut decoud saving us a few million but I doubt we have baller money like people are thinking. Probably enough to sign one, maybe two quality starters, perhaps a tackle (offensive or defensive if we let dwan or colin go) or a pass rusher.

If we don't re-sign a single player on that list, we'll be just fine. No real current game changers. Decent players but outside of Dwan and Ed, nobody who really contributes

That might be true to a degree but someone should list the free agents for 2016 and 2017.

I would think most of our decisions this offseason will be influenced by what we have coming up in a few years.

The hardest part will be figuring out how to deal with kalil Johnson and td salary. All will be making too much. I think kalil and td will help us out but not sure about big money. We need Johnson or Hardy can't go into season without both but big money cannot be making 20 mill lol.

I'm all for resigning Bell as a backup.

I agree.  However, you have to let him go into free agency first.  The reason I say that?  With no other person here playing LT, he looks for a lower-end starting LT contract.  Way too much for him.  He would not settle for a backup contract without shopping himself.

    • This is huge may not be a trap game but this plays a major part in what they want to do. If we can get some pressure on Sam we know what he does with pressure coming hit and heavy. Also we may be able to take the top off their defense a backup safety trying to stop TMac or Cooker over the top or forcing him to play the backend should allow us to run the ball somewhat effectively. Either they allow some runs or we take some shots and if Bryce and whoever can connect deep we’ll be in business for another big time win against a top notch opponent. Might not be a trap game but health travel game plans all play a major role in each weeks game plan and this week might be leaving our way. We’re missing some replaceable pieces they’re missing key anchors to the offense and defense major difference time to solidly ourselves at one of the top teams in the nfc tomorrow fellas buckle up.
    • Yes.  If I am not mistaken, we need to sign Coker to the ERFA tender and insist that XL spends his spring and summer at a WR camp and not Coon huntin on his four wheeler.  XL was raw when we picked him--which is why I wanted to go another direction--and we are seeing how raw.  He is basically learning a position.     The Panthers will make their move in 2026 to be an NFL powerhouse behind Bryce.  Bryce needs intelligent WRs who catch the ball.  That said, we need a solid #2 to challenge XL and make cutting him easy, if necessary.  A #2 WR (intented to be a #1 by now) with under 400 yards is embarrassing.   On offense, you have to ask, "Where can we get better?"  In my view, #2 WR, TE (although they are improving) and maybe C (again, if we re-sign Mays, he is trending up and at 26, entering his prime--I say stay with him and find competition later in the draft (not good for C).  OL depth maybe?  In other words, XL is a glaring weak spot.
