Walter Football current mock for the Panthers

Through 3 rounds:

1 (25).  La'el Collins, OT/OG, LSU

2 (57).  Rashad Greene, WR, FSU

3 (89).  Buck Allen, RB, USC

I'd take that in the first 3 rounds, though I'd probably rather have WR Stefon Diggs from Maryland, WR Devin Smith from Ohio State, or WR Justin Hardy from East Carolina with that 2nd round pick rather than Greene.  Greene just doesn't add the downfield speed I think we need to complement KB and Olsen.

Rashad Greene is not a speed guy but he knows how to get open. Very clutch too and has dependable hands to move the chains. Stefon Diggs is overrated right now and he comes with injury concerns. I'd take him as a return man though.

If you want speed and a deep threat, look no further than Phillip Dorsett. Dude can flat out fly. I also really like Nelson Agholor and Sammie Coates for speed, #2 WR with upside in the 2nd if they make it to our pick.

I would also love to pick up TE Maxx Williams in the 2nd if he is there. He's a baller. Bring back the two TE sets we ran with Shockey and Olsen or wreak havoc how the Patriots did with Hernandez and Gronkowski. Funchess is also worth a look as a TE mismatch.

Devin Smith and Sammie Coates are the two WRs I'm most interested in. One of them should probably be there in the 2nd, but both are guys that could rocket up boards after ridiculous combine performances. Both are the type of speedy, big play deep threat that we really need.

Yeah and I'm starting to lean heavily towards Devin Smith in the 2nd.

Why not, Stewart may get dinged up again and Williams will probably be gone ? Running the ball is important to the Panthers offensive scheme,so i can see the need to draft a RB pretty high.

It's a devalued position.. If you build up your Oline and have Cam you don't need a top end RB.. I like the Combo of Stew and Fozzy. .
