Nfl.com video: "Colin Kaepernick not an entirely different QB to Cam Newton"

Recommended Posts

Another "analyst" spewing diarrhea from his mouth as his is justification as to why Richard Sherman will have 2 interceptions of Cam, one for a pick 6.

I as a fan don't need the panthers to win this game for my support of them but wouldn't it be so much better if we could shut fools like this up tomorrow? What say you?

Anyone that compares Cam to any young QB.....is lazy. They aren't aren't alike.

Especially as passers

Especially as runners

Very different

Just bc you pass and run doesn't make you alike. He runs distinctly different and his habits in the pocket are as well

Bruschi just said that Cam looks to run while Wilson looks to pass. Do these guys even watch games?

LMAO

Can always sits too long in the pocket. He takes sacks bc he doesn't bail often when he should. From day one he has often overcompensated bc of people like Bruschi and is always looking to pass

Cam does do a recieve more direct calls by far than any other duel threat QB. So his rush totals are high

Thought that was Stink, that said that. Anyway, I was thinking the same thing. These guys haven't watched us play. These idiots also said we would lose 31-13 and 38-13 respectively. My thought was...who the hell is going to score 30+ points? I cant wait until we shock the damn world Sat night!

Now a days if a QB scrambles they're automatically put in the stereotype of Cam/Kaepernick/Russel. I can't wait for Mariota to come in....

Luck is a pretty good running QB too but he's obviously isn't in that "category". These people write for people like themselves, who have no idea who the Panthers OR Cam Newton really are. Please forgive their ignorance for they know not and shall be taught Saturday

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
