You, sir, get it.

You, sir, get it too.

And THERE is the problem with the homers!

First off, I'm not a hater but this back and forth this board does with our franchise QB needs to stop!

Look, an elite QB can handle an offense that isn't perfect most of the time. Above average QBs, however, will struggle from time to time. So, you saying that we need a perfect offense in order for Cam to shine speaks volumes.

Cam is our QB. Period. He's about the 11th best QB in the league in my eyes (Brady, Flacco, Roethlisberger, Luck, Manning, Rivers, Romo, Rodgers, Brees, Wilson). He can win it all, yes. But he's no "a Brady", "a Rodgers", or "a Manning". He won't give the Panthers a dynasty because no team has a perfect offense and no team ever will have a perfect offense.

I'm glad you love Cam with all your heart. I like him too. He's half Greek god, half machine. I'm glad you think his ceiling is as high as any QB in the history of the league. I'm glad I can see the same faults that surround him that you can see. I'm glad we see that those faults hurt his game tons and make him look worse than he actually is.

But I wish you homers would see that Cam is not an elite QB. Because he's simply not.

No more debating from me on this ever again I hope. This topic has been going on the entire season. It's beyond old.

Stop talking all this logic. Your going to hurt peoples brains.

Cam is still young and developing.  He's not perfect, but the organization needs to do more to help him.  Better protection (new LT), more playmakers (a couple of WRs that can run), a new OC, and a new QB coach are needed IMO.  I honestly have seen little improvement from him under Shula and Dorsey.  Time for them to go.

Bottom line Cam has to improve. If we are to someday believe that Cam is going to be a Top 10 or top 5 QB he has to elevate his game to another level. In a manner that make his teammates play better.

I think Cam is a good QB I really do. But he does need help. Olsen is great. KB is good but he is a rookie and all together I guess you could say the team did really well this season considering all the circumstances. However Cam has to shred all doubt  one day and that will be on him alone. Regardless of what weapons we give him eventually.

He needs one more real legitimate weapon before I think we can gauge who he is going to be. KB will get better next year. But Cotchery and Bersin just don't cut it. Philly is good but like KB is a rookie.

The offensive line was not that bad tonight. The issue was Cam and the WR's not getting open mutually. Plus Shula sucking ass.

I suppose we all agree that Cam has finished developing and what he is is what he will always be?

No one claims he is as good as some of the other elite QBS are NOW. Those elite QBS for the most part weren't as good when they were 25 as they are now.

Quit being fugging dumb.

You can call me a homer or nuthugger if you want to. But to expect or think Cam should be accomplishing what other more experienced QBs are accomplishing is stupid.

You have a guy with great ability and not as much experience. He is a better QB than he was as a rookie when he put up jaw dropping numbers.

Cam Newton just won the NFC South for the second time in a row and won a playoff game with a busted ankle, broken ribs, and a broken back with mostly no-name wide receivers and an O-line thay struggled to protect for the majority of the season.

And he is only 25. What exactly do you want in a QB again?

Some of our fanbase holds Cam to a higher standard than other fanbases hold their qbs.

Most of us,  we see the bad,  but we also see the good...  Just like we do with every other qb in the league..  their good side and their bad side.    Anytime we mention the good side though,  we're labeled as homers...  by the posters that only want to talk about the bad side.    As if we have Ryan Lindley out there playing qb,  every game.

wont matter he'll be gone.  tired of losing.  ironically, a lot of the blame can be placed on the lofty expectations we have of him.  he's not elite, yet.  oh well, let the poostorm ensue.

    • Has anybody actually said anything of that sort? (if they did, I missed it) I get why some folks rely on stats. I don't, and honestly I'm not sure why people keep trying to convince me I should. (it ain't gonna happen) 😕 Consistency is my big thing too, and the lack of it is why I want to move on from Bryce. But again, that's an argument I make without denying that he can indeed play in (and yes, win) NFL games. Hating bad QB play is fine. Denying when you see good QB play is silly. Let's be real for a second... This may not be you specifically, but there are some folks for whom Bryce can do absolutely nothing to win their approval. Some are always gonna want a bigger / stronger / faster / more athletic (in some cases, Newtonesque) quarterback even if Bryce does start to play consistently. At that point, they'll just shift the argument from "we can't win with Bryce" to "well, we can't keep winning with Bryce" 😖 You know all this as well as I do. So again, I want to move on from Bryce as well. I'd happily (hell, merrily) keep him as a backup, but I doubt there's a realistic path to that happening. But no matter what, I'm gonna keep my debate points based in reality, and I'm not gonna be responsive to "he just sucks" level persuasion. Is any of that unreasonable? 🤔
    • Apples and oranges.   No one is coming for Jon Snow and the neutral party when they compliment Bruce when it is just normal talk about a game.  Which is the literal picture you are trying to paint above.  I mean that’s exactly what you argued. if you start a thread that is about the future of the franchise at QB going forward at QB and what we should do or are thinking! Yeah, the anti Bryce crowd is going to very vocal on that thread because the literal topic is extending Bryce and the future at QB (which is what an anti Bryce position is literally about.  Moving on.  The future) This thread? I literally called out people in their feelings wanting to make this about Bryce and their hurt feelings eroding over.  You can find where I literally calls them out go make another Bryce thread if they didn’t want to talk Saints and the most relevant thing about them.  And the thread went exactly as we all knew it would.   Bryce deserved player of the week talk for Atlanta.  I have always acknowledged his great games.  A shame there are only two
    • Then the offense will be the same up and down underperforming offense they are this year and our FO are filled with idiots.
