After 3 years, Andrew Luck has...

4 more wins vs .500+ teams

6 more touchdowns

8 more turnovers

...than Cam Newton had after 3 years

ALL HAIL ANDREW LUGOAT

His 16-2 W/L & stat stuffing against the atrocious AFCS has really, really, really turned him into a mythical creature.

After 3 seasons, Newton had produced 13,364 total yards and 92 total TDs. After 3 seasons, Luck has 13,862 total yards and 98 total TDs.

No telling how much Cam would have if his competition was as weak as Luck's every season, and he played in a "dome".

All hail the great Andrew.

Bonus...Interceptions after 3 seasons:

Newton: 42

Luck: 43

Lost fumbles...

Newton: 6

Luck: 13

The haters are so right. Cam hasn't earned squat (SARCASM). It's all about the QB...nothing else. If you gave Cam's numbers to Luck and Lucks' to Cam, the teams probably wouldn't have done much different (except for doubling up on Cam's fumbles leading to a few more losses due to Rivera's conservative "close games which MAGNIFIES MISTAKES" style).

P.S. It's not Cam's fault that he had to be both his team's #1 passing and rushing threat all the way until 5 weeks ago. If anything, that's a point in his favor for already having earned a new contract, not the fact that he didn't do it the traditional "passing only" way.

Luck is easily worth $7-8M more than Wilson and a few more than Cam. Super Bowl will make Wilson paid more or equally and that is a huge mistake for the Seahawks.

Wilson is a gifted QB and a playmacker but his team gets him a lot more credit than he deserves. Once they arent retained russell will face adversity for once in his life

Definitely not deserving of being a the highest paid paid. I would take Aaron Rodgers over him every day of the week. He should be the highest paid player based upon his age, productivity and past accomplishments which includes a super bowl win.

Hilton, Davis, Mathis, etc. are all older? Luck is a large part of the Colts' success but the main reason they're this far is their defense more than Luck. Their defense has been playing at an elite level this playoffs.

i meant superstars

cam and luke are superstars

those guys you listed are not. that's like me naming KB, star, and TD. They are damn good players but they're not faces of franchises. That defense played a noodle armed manning and andy dalton without a.j and sanu. They have been playing well. But Luck makes that team run

I don't know, many would consider Hilton a superstar receiver. He's wayyyyy better than KB as of right now. And I was wrong Mathis actually is old. But Vontae Davis is absolutely a superstar at corner, he's a monster. I get what you're saying but who says a team has to have one "face of the franchise?" Their D has been dominating collectively as a unit. They don't have superstars like Seattle does but they are all playing very well in sync with each other. Luck isn't carrying his team, he's an important part in their success, but not carrying them by any means.

The NFCS was bad this year, what was Cam's record against them? We cannot continue to discredit those wins when even we cannot get those wins.

The AFCS is always bad. The end. You aren't seriously going to compare the Saints, Falcons, and Bucs to the Texans, Titans, and Jaguars, are you?

    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
    • Reasonable. I mean I didn’t see a clear path to relief this season myself. As I have typed already, I think the QB FA class is more interesting next season and that draft is supposed to be stacked as well. There just weren’t many options this year.  When you have Tepper to contend with you have to tread lightly around this unless you are 100% certain and willIng to stake your job on it.   There were a couple of outings that helped Bryce a lot in terms of  thinking maybe he can do this, and if you are a supporter you are giving them a lot of weight. You are likely to think just get him some more help and he can do that every week. Which I think Tepper falls into that category.  And the playoffs, division champs, regardless of the way I see that, the supporters will also give that a lot of weight.    And the big one, the atmosphere In BOA for that WC game, Tepper had to be soiling himself over that. If you pulled Bryce out right now you had better be right and your new guy had better make the playoffs and look good doing it or you will be gone and your chance to build your old team back into respectability will be gone too.  So here we have Pickett on a one year deal, and Grier and King. I understand it.
