Carolina Panthers 2015 NFL Draft Roundup - Round 1

Do. Not. Want. RB, any RB in the first round.

They just don't have the value any more. And most RB's are only as good as the OL's they run behind.

That sentiment is wideley accepted but I gotta be honest, this RB class is damn good.  One of the better ones in recent memory with Abdullah, Gordon, Gurley, and Tevin "the f'n man" Coleman.

Agree that RBs don't have "value" but I'd say that's more for the 2nd contract. If you can get a certified stud RB in the 1st round you take him and for 5 years he's your guy. You get great value for that first contract, but it's the second that you have to be careful with.

That being said, I don't see us taking an RB in the first round. Got to believe that if our guy at T isn't there, a pass rusher will be our pick.

Anyone who wouldn't be thrilled with Melvin Gordon isn't thinking big picture. I promise you Gettleman is. I'd LOVE to have Gordon as our featured back going forward. I think he's the best RB to come out of college since Adrian Peterson. I know that comparison gets thrown around a lot these days, but Gordon is a beast.

    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
    • You play the Saints that is great news for your O line.
