Stuck around for offseason workouts last year. Cut before camp began I believe.

 Well I'll be danged...wish I could show up, work out, get paid thousands and call it a day. How sweet is that?

When Compared to this past season, this is a godsend.  Good lord, we had 20 mil in dead money in 6 players and thats not counting the 13 million going to Hardy.  How we had a team even able to come close to .500 with this much cap dedicated to players not playing for us is utterly ridiculous.

Hopefully Gettleman will continue to be a good GM and not put us in a position to owe dead money at the end of the season.

well for starters it would look like a $7 million cap charge for 2014 and $6 million at the absolute minimum for 2015 according to overthecap.com

Smitty and Godfrey left getting 7 million. Would pay for a nice tackle and WR.

Not great, but so much better than last year.

 

It is really shameful how much wasted money Hurney put us under.  We still will feel the effect next season, if I remember correctly.
