J.J. Watt moving to log cabin in 'middle of nowhere' to train

This guy...

J.J. Watt prepared for his historic 2014 season by crashing on his friend's dining room floor in Wisconsin and spending nearly every waking hour training.

This offseason, Watt says he plans to move to a remote cabin in the woods so he can be cut off from the distractions of daily life and devote all his energy to improving his fitness.

Watt recently rewarded himself for an MVP-caliber season by purchasing a log cabin in the "middle of nowhere" in Wisconsin, according to Brian T. Smith of the Houston ChronicleThe star pass rusher plans to build a gym inside the cabin.

"It’s really minimalistic," Watt said. "The only thing I have to focus on is training and that’s the way I like it. There’s no frills, there’s nothing to distract you up here."

Watt said he's maturing and learning how he wants to live his life. He isn't content with the Texans' 9-7 finish in 2014 despite his ridiculous level of play.

While I hate the huge Watt circlejerk, the dude is an amazing player and everything I've seen/heard from him seems like he really strives for greatness... to an obsessive degree.

Imagine if Peppers was even close to being that motivated.  Dude probably would've been one of the best players of all time.

I'm fine with devoting most of your time perfecting your craft, but everyone owes themselves a little slack. Does the guy not have a woman?

Nope.  He was quoted as saying he doesn't have time for a girlfriend or a social life right now because he wants to get the most out of football as he can while he can.  Said he has plenty of time for that when he's retired.

The dude is moving into a secluded cabin in the middle of nowhere so he can live out a Rocky montage.  Lol I don't think he believes in cutting himself some slack.

I really admire his discipline and work ethic. Guy is one of a kind. Best defensive player in the NFL and he wants to lock himself in a cabin and get even better. That's incredible dedication but I think the human stuff is necessary to keep you sane. Seems like that's just how he's built though. Pretty amazing and equally as nuts. I've locked myself in the studio before but that's way different. After a lock in I always go indulge in the pleasures of life. JJ is something else.
