Who considered not watching? (be honest)

People that don't watch the Super Bowl and consider themselves football fans just come off as tools. They always want to tell everyone because they realize no one will notice their insignificant act of defiance.

I respect your opinion but that is not correct.  I do not like the Patriots and wish not to watch them.  Seattle is a very good team and I have no problem with them.  The fact that the Patriots have willful and deliberately cheated and the NFL allows them to get away with it, that's why I chose not to watch the game.  I love football and think that it is good entertainment.

Since the year we were in it I had only actually watched three (Pats/Giants, Packers/Steelers, and Seahawks/Broncos).  I was looking forward to this one though and never considered missing it.  Did not like the result but was a hell of a game.

Nobody was going to miss the Super Bowl, they were just crying out for help in their posts stating such

First Superbowl I have watched in a long time.  Panthers not in it I don't care for it the only reason I did was because A) nothing better on and B) decent matchup.

I watched, but generally did not care. I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't an excuse to spend time with friends and family, and I also wouldn't have cared if I didn't watch. I will not be telling my kids about a stupid Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl in 10 years. No matter how good the game is, it's not really that important to me unless the Panthers are in it. Couldn't care less whether it becomes sports history.

Any super bowl going forward will be the most talked about because of social media. The best game I've ever watched was super bowl 42 with the catch, I'll never forget that game... ever!!!!

This super bowl was good, but I've been saying since the CC's that I thought the patriots would win. So while a good game the outcome was rather predictable even if it almost wasn't.

There was enough talk about it pre-game that I know at least some of you considered skipping it.

Regardless of what you think of the outcome, this game was sports history and is likely to become one of the most talked about Super Bowls of all time.

If you missed this game, you blew it.

thought has never crossed my mind to miss a SB.............especially this one.

    • We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
    • Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.
