Coaching Change Official

The good news is Richard Rodgers is primarily a secondary coach for his whole career. He should have been with secondary this whole time, so it's good he's being put where he should have been in the first place

Bad news is Curtis Fuller is an ex-NFL safety who was one of the best up-and-coming secondary coaches in the NFL. Dumb we are moving him to special teams just because moRon and Rodgers were teammates at Cal and moRon wants to help out his old buddy's career

Hopefully we don’t see a drop off in the development of our young secondary now.

fwiw, rodgers career has been in arena football and small college schools.

also, his claim to fame is being the 2nd and 4th person to touch the ball in this play (and supposedly being the one whose idea it was which apparently was the main qualifier for him getting a STs job in the NFL (which is pretty much just here).

Reshuffling poo still makes it poo. Other organizations just get rid of their poo.

DeHaven is far from "poo".

The "poo" is that he was sitting behind Rodgers.

Basically, that arrangement was the equivalent of having Carson Palmer on roster but choosing to start Ryan Lindley.

Yes DeHaven was who I was talking about. Not our former awesome Special Teams coach Rodgers.

Or maybe they are grooming Fuller as there new ST coach because DeHaven is old as ***. Nawww that's too logical.

dehaven got the job he should have had all along and we'll be better for it.

rodgers got demoted to a position more in line with what he was qualified for and is relatively harmless in that capacity. not a big deal whatsoever.

win/win

DeHaven was hired about two weeks after Rodgers. He wasn't retained when Doug Marrone took over in Buffalo.

I don't know if that excuses their assignments being ass backwards (probably doesn't).

Funny thing was DeHaven's hire went so completely under the radar I think half of us didn't even know he was on staff till a while after he'd been added.

You want a chuckle?  Go look at who Marrone hired to replace DeHaven

(Ryan retained him, so he's still there)

it's amazing to me that man still has a job...and not just any job....THAT job. you'd think that teams would learn. of course it is detroit and buffalo that has been keeping him employed. that probably says volumes. they had a good thing with dehaven but decided twice to let him go and forced to settle for much less.
