He's kind of pissing in everyone's Cheerios that's for sure, but I was told in the mod locker room not to mod people just for being assholes.

He's definitely walking the spam line though with 10 pages of negative Michael Oher tweets...

Just to let you guys know (mods), he spams other threads too with multiple pics and tweets all basically saying the samething. Really annoying when trying to read through a thread.

Gettlemanjack is mr Tweet.

Hes butthurt now, but with the combine, prodays, and prospect threads in the nfl draft forum, the dude lays down tweet after tweet of really good content

That's probably the only place he'd be good at. Anywhere else is the same poo over and over again.

First time Mikey fugs up....and this guy

says, " Do that again and I will eliminate your ability to reproduce, here and now, with a leg sweep and my teeth", we may be on to something.

I know this is intended as a joke, but there's a ring of truth to it.  Basically, Oher has shown he has the talent to perform as a starter.  He's also been pretty bad the past few years, and guys who have replaced him have done a better job.  We had that same situation here with Evan Mathis.

The Offensive Line is not five guys out there doing their thing, it's a unit.  In individual drills, Amini is probably going to look way better than Norwell.  No one wanted Remmers.  But those two guys looked amazing when they were plugged in with Kalil and Turner, even if neither is the most physically gifted lineman out there.  And now we're adding Oher to the mix, a guy with undeniable physical attributes.

Matsko has already coached Oher to some of the best years of his career, which is a good sign.  And if he meshes well with Norwell and the rest, he's going to look like a completely different player than he did in Tennessee.  And at the end of the day, I can't imagine him not being an upgrade over Bell.

So yeah, he may have sucked in TN, but so what?  The last time we got a lineman from the Titans we got one of their great ones, and that guy kind of sucked here.  On the offensive line in particular, past performance is no guarantee of future results.

I'll watch out for it.

Informative tweets and updates are appreciated. If it's like it is in this thread, we can take away his mouse but he can keep his keyboard. ;)

Seems like a signing with tons of downside potential. I worry that this is our new starting lineman and Gettleman has used this signing to ignore OT in the draft and FA. There has to be better answers than this. And while I assume we are giving up very little money, if for some reason we gave him anything lucrative this would be disastrous.

I don't buy that he is going to return to starter quality under Matsko with a new toe but nothing would make me happier if he did.

and Bell was part of that unit for years.

I don't know what all the hubbub is about. Until I know otherwise, I am going to assume that he signed a deal that allows us to release him in case he is just plain poo at the position at worst, and at best the coaches get to work with him to bring out his best over the next few months. I figure that G-man figures Other has a puncher's chance of being a solution at LT at best, or provide some depth at RT at worst.

I do believe that as a fan the smartest thing to do in regards to Oher is to hope for the best, be prepared for the worst, but expect somewhere in between.

There weren't many good options out there to begin with, so I always believed that our next LT would either be Remmers, or a draftee that will either start day one, or take over near mid season for Remmers or a free agent.

You'd think some would have learned with Mike Mitchell and Ted Ginn that just because guys have sucked elsewhere doesn't automatically mean they'll suck here. Different coaches, different systems, different expectations.

Virtually everyone across the board thought the Mike Mitchell signing was a waste of time and the guy played so well for us that he landed a bog money deal with the Steelers.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
